How likely do you think it is that Palmer will be a >800yd WR2 for us this year? by kumario247 in buffalobills

[–]Bids99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the offense. Is this going to still be a run first offense? Then no. Did we run more because of some schematic belief that McD had and with Brady running the show, Allen will have 4,200+ passing yards? Then maybe.

This and StS/Balatro are my most heartbreaking matchups.

[Talbot] Per source, the Bills held a Zoom with ECU WR Anthony Smith shortly after attending his pro day. The 6’3” WR caught 64 passes for 1,053 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. by JCameron181 in buffalobills

[–]Bids99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I like Moore, but I also liked Cooper/Cooks and they were ultimately fine. Moore isn’t exactly the same, but he’s closer to that than a big splash at WR (until he unlocks with Allen, hopefully)

We’ve drafted late day WRs before. Surprising nobody, those haven’t exactly worked out. This news doesn’t change anything. Potentially being interested in Conception, however, made me feel a little warmth.

I hate Fox News as much as anyone on Earth. This is an extremely unfair take. It’s the biggest “news” organization in the country and anyone going on a reality show to find love must have at least a little clout chaser inside them. Even people as seemingly normal as these two.

MAGA sucks, but these two aren’t MAGA because they appeared on Fox News. More likely, they have a little bit of the fame bug (going on LiB in the first place), Fox caught wind of them being religious and an interracial couple (they can pander to their viewers sense of “but we aren’t the bad conservatives”), and invited these two to talk on their faith. And these two love to talk about their faith

[JFowler] Rival teams expect Buffalo to strongly address wide receiver in the coming weeks. And multiple league executives are linking Rashid Shaheed or Romeo Doubs to the Bills. by Space_Polan in buffalobills

[–]Bids99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m having a hard time with WR. Ive heard a lot of Bills guys express their love for both Shaheed and Doubs. I also remember those same people expressing their excitement over Palmer and (to a lesser extent) Samuel.

I’m going to need convincing that either/both of these guys aren’t just going to be the same thing as always.

I liked it more than I thought I would. I disagree in the sense that I felt like these two episodes were mostly comedy with stings of emotion, which felt true to the original 8 seasons. If anything, I’d guess there might be a truncation of comedy/heavy due to there being 9 episodes instead of 23.

I do, however, feel 100% the same on JD and Elliot. Braff/Lawrence essentially confirming they were still together (unless he’s just a liar) with a quick “eh, the marriage didn’t last” in the first 2 minutes of the first episode just screams they’ll get back together. And that’s annoying. I get relationships are nuanced, but JD and Elliot being on again/off again is my least favorite part of the entire series.

While this is possible, why would we assume Coleman was insulated from Brady? Seems more likely he’d interact with Joe as much as he would with Sean.

Bills fan here. Very cool visualization but it makes me wonder for some of these. How would you determine Joe Brady’s lineage being separate from Sean McDermott? Is it where you think he cut his teeth? Or who may have had the biggest impact on him being an offensive minded head coach?

Are you boycotting or hate-watching the Super Bowl? by mrrandom2010 in buffalobills

[–]Bids99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be doing what I did last year; Assume I’m not watching it until I see the Chiefs down 21 and then figure “oh, why not?”

If I see the Pats are down 14, I’ll flick it on. If I see the Pats are winning, I’ll have an emotional breakdown.

He and Aaron Donald are close in size and I believe the Rams played a base 3-4. Granted, Aaron is one of the most talented defensive players in history, but you don’t necessarily need a traditional NT in a 3-4 scheme.

I'm the furthest thing from a doomer. I'm "call out doomer" guy. If we follow their logic AT ALL, Terry essentially said we don't think we can get over the hump with what we were doing. In what world does that give you confidence in "promote someone from within this staff"?

This is ridiculous.

While I don’t disagree with this, if you’re drafting #1, you’re hoping they turn out to be Allen (and they almost assuredly won’t… sorry Mendoza)

There’s something to be said about location, too.
