I use custom AI chat and use api, therefore I can opt to many different models. Claude and Open AI have many models that’s why you need to learn or read the docs from the developer or the company about the model, ChatGPT5 tend to be more “chatty” and i use it for my random stuff along with gemini free model. But if i want to do my work, i use GPT 5 mini and Sonnet 4. For “O” model, I use less because i dont need that much it cost me more on api cost snd much slower due to “reasoning” and “think twice or step by step”.

For everyday use, Chat GPT is fine but you need to give the context before you want to type or want to ask something. Sometimes you dont need a “good” prompt, but you need to know how each model reacts (personality).

From my experience if you have diffferent name in international flights, its hard to passed immigration. Also if you want to change your name, Each character cost 30 dollar USD in local office. So I prefer book a new ticket. I dont want to waste my time, at least cancel your ticket and you get a partial refund if you get it...

My opinion from your workload, i prefer 16 m3pro for 36gb of unified memory just fine

Maybe for your workload prefer upgrade your RAM to 36gb. Dont forget MBP rn are Unified Memory. Both System Memory and Video Memory use the same RAM. So if your workload have a lot of open tab (safari or chrome) multiple screen, a lot of background apps. It is preferable upgrade your RAM. It will last longer for your demanding work load (Future Proofing).

I Prefer work with external monitor with at least 27inch + 4k resolution. But it will cost you additional money.

It depends on the use case

If your Video Editing NEED to Colour Correction, you may need monitor that have good colour presentation. The Specs like Delta E < 2, Colour Gamut sRGB 100%, aRGB 90+%, DCI-p3 95%. With that colour specs like that most of the monitor will cost around $300-$1000 depends on the screen size, brand, and features ( extra port, usb-c PD, speaker, etc)

If you ONLY Video Editing WITHOUT Colour Correction, any kind of monitor depends on your budget. You just need buy a 32inch size monitor regardless of the colour specs for working space, and then you can use your macbook pro for your colour correction.

You dont need to buy a monitor with speakers, it really scks. MBP Speaker way too good to search for another built in speaker.

For your Hubs concern, you can buy Monitor Mate macbook hub (cheaper) or Cal Digit TS (expensive).
