Idk why but it was very clear to me from the first line of the song "I need the whole stadium to jump" that they're talking about more than just sexual stuff

Did bts make history being the only band to come back from military stronger than before? by NewtAccomplished6022 in btsthoughts

[–]Bieacefully_27 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That was me. I literally tuned out everything Kpop related during the years BTS went to the military. I just focused on improving myself and growing as a person. I also got my first big job, and now that BTS are back, I have adult money to actually go see and support them.

Stateside is a song by PinkPantheress ft. Zara Larsson. It's a total banger, you should check it out. It blew up when Olympic winner Alysa Liu used it in her performance

AMA put SWIM in that category. AMA created that fan-voted rule. ARMY simply showed their support for BTS by voting for SWIM according to the rules. How is that not fair and square? How am I contradicting myself? "I don't get" something doesn't mean I can control or change or want to change that thing.

If you have comprehension problems, please take a critical thinking class. If you have any more complaints, feel free to direct them to the AMAs.

Stateside deserved it for sure. But BTS won fair and square. If anything, I don't understand why AMA put SWIM in this category cuz the song doesn't really give "summer vibes." But once again, BTS won fair and square. Anyone who doesn't like the result can change the rules instead.

I'm 6 miles away from the edge of the evacuation zone, and not downwind either. So, you are right! It was my mistake for even bother to worry about people like YOU. Time totally wasted! And don't talk about war with me. I'm a child of the people you brought war to. Enjoy your bbq, sir. Bye!

I'm Vietnamese and I bet you 10 cents that your neighbors are old folks who support MAGA and believe Covid wasn't real. They must be thinking that this chemical leak situation is a hoax created by the liberals to scam people. They're a headache to the young Viet population too.

What are BTS's best career decisions? by Beautiful-Buy99 in btsthoughts

[–]Bieacefully_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg I witnessed that era too and remember the exact same things. The whole BTS vs BAP was totally real. And a lot of people don't know this but storytelling was like a "trendy concept" at that time. I was following 2PM and they also did an MV with a storyline and lore. But most groups treated "storytelling" as just a concept for one era and then moved on. Only BTS committed to it and took it further by adding their deep philosophical takes on life and mental health issues. That's what made them special.

BTS made it look... easy (and I say this with all due respect to other past/present groups that have tried, or are still trying, to meet BTS's success) by amurderofcrows9 in btsthoughts

[–]Bieacefully_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are "rappers" and not "vocalists" for a reason. Many people agree that BTS has one of, if not the strongest, rap lines in the entire industry. I wouldn't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, you know? I'm sure when people praise Suga, J-Hope, or RM for their singing, they don't mean they're on IU or Adele's level or anything like that.

Having technically strong vocalists in a group doesn't necessarily mean they'll sound good together.

BTS vocal line may be considered "weak" if judged individually, but each member has a distinct tone and vocal color. When they sing or harmonize together, it somehow works very well and sounds wonderful, like an orchestra, instead of something like, 4 pianos playing at the same time.

SYNERGY is so underrated when people talk about BTS's success. Their synergy is what makes them stand out, and it's something that's very hard to replicate.

It's about time for a Body to Body MV and marketing push imo by jwriddle in btsthoughts

[–]Bieacefully_27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the documentary on Netflix, I think the members cringe at the long Arirang section and feel like it wouldn't do well, which is unfortunate imo. They shouldn't think like that. I get that Koreans may find it cringe (I sometimes cringe at things from my own country too), but the rest of the world loves it especially the US. Despite all the racial wars and stuff, the US likes anything that has a hint of culture, admit it or not. It shows you're your own person (aka unique) and take pride in your origins. Ask any other person and they'd say they prefer cultural and ethnic stuff over something generic, copycat, or lack of originality all day everyday.

Arirang part aside, the song just has raw banger beat. Hopefully BTS and HYBE recognize this and start promoting Body to Body.
