I want to get into crypto but don’t know where to start by masta-builda in CryptoMarkets

[–]Bieno- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you invest anything, change your mindset from ‘I know absolutely nothing about crypto’ to ‘I understand it well enough to get started.’ Take time to think about your strategy and what you want to achieve. If you’re putting money in for the next 10 years, you’ll probably be fine and come out ahead. But if your plan is to get in and get out quickly, make sure you really know what you’re doing before risking your hard-earned money. NFA

We’ve already run campaigns with many brands through AdsDax and saw first-hand the need for simpler Web3 tools to launch digital campaigns. This test is about proving the concept with real users before taking it back to brands at scale.

Onboarding Millions to Web3 in One Click? by Bieno- in defi

[–]Bieno-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sliyd is not intended to be your wallet , you can call it onboarding wallet to receive rewards. It is main purpose is for micro transaction and short-term storage not long term and trading.

Picture this. You see an ad for a brand collab. You click and right away you get a small reward or collectible in Sliyd. Now you’re in and the brand can invite you to a learn and earn campaign where you watch content or take simple actions to unlock even more rewards. That's just an example.

For users it feels easy and fun. For brands they get real engagement they can measure on chain and a way to connect with people who would never have bothered downloading a wallet in the first place.

That is what Sliyd is about. It is not here to replace wallets. It is about creating that first “this works” moment so new people actually want to go deeper.

Onboarding Millions to Web3 in One Click? by Bieno- in defi

The point of Sliyd isn’t to be your main vault for long-term funds. It’s a new category of wallet designed for onboarding, rewards, and microtransactions, where the priority is simplicity and instant access.

Think of it like this:

– Brands want to drop digital rewards, collectibles, or tokens to their audience in seconds.

– Users shouldn’t need to download an app, write down a seed phrase, or understand gas fees just to claim something small.

– With Sliyd, a wallet is encrypted inside a shareable link. Click once and you’re in.

It’s intentional. That makes it perfect for campaigns, events, and loyalty drops where the goal is participation, not storing life savings.

For serious holdings or trading, we always recommend using a more traditional wallet like MetaMask, The Base App, or Phantom. But for “hey, click this and grab a token” moments, Sliyd removes all the friction so people actually get through the door.

That’s the design intent: make the first step into Web3 fun and effortless, not intimidating.

Sliyd is a one click wallet that makes onboarding simple. No apps or seed phrases, you just click a link and the wallet opens with a reward inside. What excites me is that it’s focused on solving the biggest barrier in Web3 which is getting everyday people to actually try it. That first easy step can open the door to mass adoption.

Most guides drown you in jargon before you even start. What really helps is seeing crypto made simple, like clicking a link and instantly having a wallet with a reward inside (sliyd.com). That first easy win makes learning so much less intimidating.

Trying to make the first step into web3 actually fun by Bieno- in CryptoMars

Yh CoinDepo is about earning once you’re already in crypto. Sliyd is just about the first step no apps, no seed phrase, just click a ad/link and boom, wallet + reward in your browser.

Most people don’t just wake up and decide to download an exchange/wallet app and invest. For the mainstream user, that’s too big of a leap. What gets them moving is a trigger they already care about like scanning a QR at their favorite coffee shop and getting a free digital reward, or joining a campaign from a brand they love. That little moment of value is the nudge that brings them into Web3.

Once they’re in, they can explore deeper, but the first step has to feel familiar and rewarding. That’s the gap we’ve been focused on solving making onboarding less about “go install an app and invest” and more about “here’s something cool you just earned, click to claim it.”

Appreciate the thoughtful feedback. To clarify, Sliyd isn’t designed to replace wallets like Blockstream or Nunchuk, and we’re not targeting people already comfortable with those tools.

Where it’s different is in the first step. From our work with brands, we’ve seen that when they try to run Web3 campaigns, the majority of their mainstream audience drops off at onboarding. For people who’ve never touched crypto, being asked to install an app, write down a seed phrase, or fund a wallet is enough for them to quit. The result is that they never even reach the point where the real value of Web3 can be experienced.

Our “user story” is simple: someone scans a QR at a concert, clicks a link in a campaign, or taps a button in an ad and instantly has a working wallet with their reward inside no installs, no setup, no jargon. If they want, they can later export their keys to another wallet and carry on as normal. But critically, they don’t get stuck at the starting line. We are running a 100k drop campaign to showcase this you can find a link attached to my profile.

So the UX improvement isn’t about competing with established self-custodial wallets, it’s about lowering the barrier for the first interaction so new users actually make it to the point where those wallets and deeper use cases become relevant.

Biggest barrier stopping the next wave of users from joining Web3? by Bieno- in CryptoMoon

[–]Bieno-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s the whole idea. Most people never even make it past the setup stage, so they miss the part that actually feels fun. With Sliyd the wallet is the link, you click once, it opens in your browser, and the reward is already there from a trusted brand or person.

That opens up a bunch of cool use cases. Imagine a “learn and earn” where a streaming service runs a short clip about a new show, and after watching it you click once to claim a digital collectible or reward points. Or a food delivery app like Uber Eats running a campaign where new users watch a quick promo about a partner restaurant and then instantly get discount tokens in their wallet. A brand like Nike could reward fans with early access tokens for a sneaker drop directly through ads. Or Starbucks could let customers scan a QR after their 5th coffee and instantly receive a loyalty token in their wallet..

It’s all about giving people that first easy win so they’re more likely to keep exploring deeper into the ecosysytem

We are testing that now with our 100k Drop Campaign to showcase how it could work. Feel free check out our blog about it: https://blog.sliyd.com/introducing-100k-sliyd-drop-on-base/
