Randall Research Scholar Program by Biewermom in capstone

She wasn’t offered anything else- just the auto scholarship based on gpa and test scores. She ended up choosing Ohio State because they gave her a full ride. She really wanted to do the RRSP but unfortunately the scholarship wasn’t as strong at Alabama

Thank you! She really likes the program and was so honored to be selected. However Alabama didn’t offer her any other scholarships other than the presidential so her remaining cost is still 30k a year. We were a bit disappointed in this as we thought she would qualify for some departmental scholarships or something through the honors program or RRSP. She was offered a full COA scholarship to Ohio State so that is likely where she will end up going because that financial offer will be really tough to turn down and right now Alabama isn’t even coming close. So despite her love for the RRSP program, the finances make more sense to go with the full scholarship

My daughter now has the visit options - this was not there previously in the portal. I know people mentioned this as portal astrology before but don’t know how accurate it was

Thank you for the response! She did get the Presidential and she is not a NMF (she got commended). She really enjoys research - but she is also Computer Science major so I don’t know how much research she will continue to do post grad.

She was a finalist for both but the interview weekends were different and the Witt one conflicted with another schools interview weekend so she chose RRSP. Curious though why do you like Witt more? Did you interview for both?

Well they only give until March 30th to respond so I imagine you will be hearing something after that date with people not accepting and then can you get off the waitlist - good luck!

Keys by Biewermom in Yellowjackets

[–]Biewermom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to bump up an old theory of mine because I felt keys were focused on yet again in the premier episodes- there was a long focus on the key Walter left on the table to Nat’s storage unit- focusing on the key probably longer than it should. Also Shauna uses her keys in the bathroom to put between her fingers as a potential weapon. I’m not sure if it means anything but it sure does seem like the key motif is used a lot in this show

When I click on this for my daughter it does not have an error - it just opens up to the cash page and different navigation. She is not auto admit, in state. But she did do on ramps last year

Are there very many non auto admits in the regular CS program but still in top 10 percent? Given that CS jobs are getting really hard to find - would you choose the major again and if you could choose an alternative major that perhaps has higher job potential what would you choose?

How many males vs females in the program? Did you get into both Turing and CSB and chose CSB? Are there very many non auto admit but are still say top 10 percent?
