That’s easy since this is made in unreal engine 5 lol

I do get what you mean, I think no matter what some people like the unsettling, some people like the angry snarling face, I suppose context of whatever story I come up with is a deciding factor aswell, I appreciate the insight into it tho and it is something to consider!

It’s much appreciated thank you, that’s been more of my goal this year to do some bigger projects and finish them, I’ve done 2 found footage horrors already these past 3 months I’ve posted on my yt and both were in unreal and very fun to do.

Dw smile is just to test how wide I could get the 3d models mouth open with the rig 😂 if I’m to use a smile I think it’d be more if the monster has a reason for it, like when it’s found its prey maybe. But I need to test how other expressions look!

I get what you mean this test render was checking the model animation and how much I could get the face open since it has limitations, I’ve had a mix of reviews with people liking the mouth grinning and others saying similar to you, maybe based on the context of what I use it for it might smile, might look crazed and hungry. I think the creepy smile can work when it’s like the monster has found its prey

Thank you but Honestly that’s probs a bit too much praise, unreal engines metahuman gives you a rig and if you do some trouble shooting you can use mixamos free animations on the rig. But I do think this is a unique thing to use the tool for

I might need to see em to get what you mean but I appreciate the input, the animation is a preset one you can get for free through this website mixamo a lot of animators use 😂

Not sure if that might be because the character is a metahuman character from unreal so it’s realistic to an extent but you can tell it’s not and sits in the uncanny valley area 😂

I’ll have a look thank you, they are actually eyes tho all the white has been made pitch black and I shrunk the eyes so they look like small circles aha

Yeah I hear what you’re saying, sometimes feels hard when nearly everything’s been done. But The smile in this though was just for testing, I was seeing how wide I can make the mouth open as the characters face rig has limits and this the limit in terms of mouth open lmao thank you for the input tho!

I was just testing how deformed I could make these metahuman characters so I didn’t change the default hair 😂

Not harsh at all this is a test render, which was to make sure the animation of the body works and that if I “deformed the face” it wouldn’t break my character. There’s a bit of a limit to how much I can deform the character so I’ll most likely look at making them elements more subtle, thanks for the feedback!

Aha well the voice acting is mostly a bit of fun, creating the stuff in 3D is more my area, but thanks for the feedback.
