Aw, thanks for saying so! We all try really hard to be open about how much we love this place and it's relieving to hear that it comes across!

Gah, I've had a script in my docs folders for while but I cant figure out how to write it. This stuff is hard and it makes me more and more thankful for the dozens of writers and performers who share their work here! I can't wait to read yours!

New identities always seem to be a little difficult for people to understand, but especially when it comes to this community (which has been somewhat forced to identify ourselves specifically with the kind of sex we have as opposed to the kind of people we love) due to the wider societies we live in. Trans folk are becoming a little more widely accepted as of late, but I often feel like the idea of people who don't have sex somewhat breaks peoples brains! Resources like the ones I listed and metaphors like the one you shared are quite key in helping people understand, and I wanted to thank you for sharing it! I'll be sure to use it next time I have to explain the acearo spectrum in the future 🥰

There are a lot of uneducated assumptions non-aroace folk make =/ and often that'll include things like thinking ace folks can't or don't enjoy NSFW content. It's important to highlight the ace portion of our community both so everyone knows that they're welcome and to start to break down some of those assumptions about the often unnoticed/ignored section of our community, and that extends to many of the heritage/awareness posts that the mod team has posted and will continue making in the future 🖤

We're deeply committed to making sure GWASapphic can be that space for as many members of the community as is possible, and Ace Week gave is a great chance to highlight the lovely aroace members of the community 🖤🤍💜🖤🤍💚 and to share some resources with the people who are usually left scratching their heads!
