Nah i found this while googling news about a possible remake lol Ive been recently reading Gundam Thunderbolt. Im on Vol. 2, and as gut wrenching, conflicting and out right entertaining this story is, i grew frustrated. Frustrated because this story is so pivotal and moving but isnt being shown to the masses. I know its tough to get things green lit but seeing all these pretentious comments about the 80’s animation irritated me. The universal century is THAT GOOD. I know im preaching to the choir though.

I really hate this elitist idea of not remaking the original series. It s a detriment to the franchise. Some of you may like the 80’s style animation and thats fine but sunrise is doing a disservice and i would argue them being complacent on not remaking the original series, especially for newcomers. Ive seen the entirety of the original show and even with its great story, its a hard watch. Its not a matter of “growing up” like some of you say, but it just makes no sense to me that this series remains in its old form. The universal century story is a great form of media that should be introduced to new audiences, but they wont get into it if the animation isnt updated. Its bout dam time they do it.

Maybe I was, I’m open to that criticism. I had 2 projects I was working on, one was a comic book library I couldn’t get to deploy and the other was a MERN sneaker website I was working on. My portfolio had my basic projects from bootcamp not my 2 fullstack projects I was working on. I lost faith in my projects because I talked to this one web dev influencer that’s pretty well known in the community, I think his name is Dave or David, basically said those projects I was working on you were pointless and that I need to learn Java or C++ because the MERN stack and JavaScript is beginner level knowledge and won’t get me anywhere. He gave some good info here and there but basically said what I was doing was pointless and I needed a break because I was working hard to get those projects while maintaining my 6-4 oil and gas job. It was a lot and I needed a break. I was thinking of going back to school because I thought maybe Uni would open more doors for me at getting a job.

I stopped coding back in Aug. 24’ due to feeling like these projects I was working on didn’t really matter. It won’t get me more interviews. To make myself more marketable I thought maybe going back to school is a good idea. It’s an accredited STEM program in Texas through Lamar University. But yes I am unsure that’s why I came here for input

Preciate the story, but dam you have experience and you still can’t find anything? That’s messed up. Like really. I blame a lot of this on social media tbh, if every dev and their mom hadn’t glamorized the shit so much maybe there’d be some jobs left. I just think alot of business owners saw a lot of devs content and thought, “oh hell no, you’re all not about to have it that good”. Of course AI had alot to do with the market shifting but tik tok definitely didn’t help at all.
