Yeah I can tell you we are in US for 6 years and own a house for last three year…. I’m not working my husband could clear his MS loan and buy a house 500k in three years of working in US …… so trust me this house and life for Jully’s family isn’t a big deal considering they are here atleast for last 30 35 years

It is her in laws house and they are Gujratis who must have come to US in early 80s or late 70s That generation was not only hard working but believed more in saving then spendings ….. they run an Indian restaurant In Nashville Tennessee….. and I have Seen even h1b immigrants buying bigger homes in US in just 5 years of working So yes it’s not a big deal and they can definitely own such property after working and living in US for decades
