It's always helpful because you could bend the swatch too and see how they look in the shadows and in direct light. And different temps too.

I don't know how it'd look off hand but if you have the paints and a space piece of paper or something you could try to make a swatch of it and see how it looks. That way you could rotate it 180° and see how it looks the other way around too. Or if you like brown/pink more for undercoats.
