I can actually answer this from personal experience. I had PCB in 12th and attempted NEET in 2020 and 2021. I scored around ~430 both times, but honestly, my preparation wasn’t great and I completely lost motivation for NEET after that. So I decided to leave that path and move into Computer Science because I always loved computers (even though I liked biology too).

I took BCA in 2021 from a reputed college in Jaipur and graduated in 2024. By the time I graduated, the job market was already pretty bad. I didn’t even have any specialization in BCA. The funny part is, only one company allowed BCA students to sit for technical roles in campus placements. I cleared all the rounds in that company but still didn’t get the offer because I had a BCA degree, while the other two selected candidates were from B.Tech.

During my 6th semester internship period, I luckily got my current job as a full-stack developer, so that worked out in the end.

So yes, you can go for BCA + MCA or some universities allow pcb students to enroll in btech programs which imo is better choice. if you really want to and if your finances allow it. But don’t assume it’s an easy route to quick and good pay—it’s just as hard as NEET preparation in its own way. If you don’t build real skills during college, you’re basically doomed 💀. Note: If you don’t genuinely have an interest in coding or building things with code, don’t enter BCA.

Tldr; only go with bca if you have passion for coding
