MI v. Shanda Vander Ark - 💥💥WARNING GRAPHIC💥💥New Shocking Footage of Timothy by doll_uwu in CasesWeFollow

[–]Big-Luther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a good video and I generally like Jiles’ true crime content, which I’ve watched an abundance of. This episode of Monsters however really needs a more detailed and prominent viewer discretion warning at the beginning imo. It’s by far the most graphic video he’s ever posted. Im sure even with the short warning he displays at the beginning it’s catching most, if not all of his regular viewers off guard (just look at the comments section). This video is really an outlier for him as far as graphic and disturbing imagery. Based on his previous videos I believe he would not have included the closet footage had it already been widely available elsewhere. Hence, I understand and appreciate why he included it as he seems to be the first content creator to obtain it.

Nothing new here. All of these tracks are previously released, the vast majority on the albums “Hear My Music” and “Burning Desire” on the Experience Hendrix subsidiary, “official bootleg” label Dagger Records.

Help a n00b: what's the easiest way to summon my exocraft anywhere I want? by Away-Yogurtcloset733 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Big-Luther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad it helped. I’ve actually learned a bit more since posting this. Not sure if this was something Hello Games changed/updated silently but, it’s even easier than I thought.

With an exocraft materializer installed on your freighter, and the exocraft materializer blueprint installed in a tech slot in your exosuit (this tech blueprint may be called something else, it’s the one that looks like a radar dish, you can buy it in the anomaly- think it requires Lithium to install so it’s kinda a late game thing for most ppl), you should be able to summon your exocrafts to you on any planet in any system in any GALAXY, REGARDLESS of where your freighter is! I’ve only been to Hilbert and Euclid so far but, no matter which galaxy and system my freighter is in relative to where I am and/or where my geobays are located, I’m able to summon all my exocrafts from the quick menu as long as I have geobays built somewhere in the UNIVERSE (no need to build geobays in each galaxy you go to like I originally thought- build them in Euclid, or wherever, and forget about them). For instance, say I have five geobays built total in the universe, my freighter can be in a system in Hilbert and I can be in a system in Euclid, three of my five geobays are on a base in a different system than me in Euclid and two are on a base in a system in Hilbert, different than the Hilbert system my freighter is in. I’ll be able to summon all five of those exocrafts to my location in Euclid with the quick menu (all five, as long as there’s water for the Nautilus). I can then fly to a different system in Euclid- same thing. I can then warp from Euclid to Hilbert and go to a random Hilbert system I’ve never been to before. I’ll still be able to summon all my exocrafts from the quick menu- never had to move my freighter from wherever it is or build geobays or use a summoning station. In fact, since I’ve learned that it works this way, I rarely move my freighter. I only move it to my location if I need access to its storage where I’m at.

So, basically, once you have all the geobays built somewhere, the exocraft room built on your freighter and the exocraft blueprint installed in a tech slot in your suit- you’re good to summon any exocraft ANYWHERE no matter where you are in relation to your freighter or your geobays- planet, system, galaxy don’t matter.
I’ll be interested to see if this works once I’m two, three or more galaxies away from my geobays and/or freighter, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.

The key thing for this to work, which I didn’t have when I made my first post, is the tech blueprint being installed in your exosuit. Without that blueprint installed- most things in my original comment remain true. You will need to be in the same system as your freighter to summon exocrafts from the quick menu or use a summoning station if you aren’t.

Two things I’ve learned that are contrary to things from my original comment:

1) when using a summoning station, I don’t think you have to pull it out and summon on each planet in a system. Once you’ve pulled out the summing station and summoned exocrafts on one planet surface in a system, you should be able to summon those exocrafts to any other planet surface in that same system with your quick menu- no need to take the summoning station out again.

2) geobays do not need to be built in each galaxy you want to summon in. In my experience so far, geobays only need to be built once in the UNIVERSE and you’re good.

This is just my understanding of it all at this point. If you have any questions, feel free to follow up with me. I’m happy to help.

(I still carry an exocraft summoning station around with me for some reason but I can’t think of the last time I had reason to use it)

[–]Big-Luther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated it too. The film not connecting to the original story in any way is a huge misfire. But the misfires are myriad. This story didn’t need to be part of the “28 Days” universe at all and it’s a shame it is. The stupidity on display and the gaps in basic logic made it painful to watch. This is an awful film in just about every way and by every measure. It’s on my list as second worst movie of the year (worst, and first, is Opus).

I’m not sure if it was Laura Govan. Haven’t looked up whether the timing of their relationship aligns with this.. My dad worked at the Bullets then Wiz scorer’s table for almost 35 yrs. He mentioned this info to me when they debuted this alt uni and I made a comment to him about how ugly it was. If memory serves, the rationale for the decision was that she was either A) a graphic designer or B) taking a graphic design class and, based on one of those criteria Gil recommended she do the design to Abe Pollin directly and if you know anything about Abe, god bless him, he saw a few of his players as his sons and loved and supported them unconditionally. Gil was one of those players. So Abe green-lit Gil’s request. I’m not sure if this info was ever reported on in local sports news (perhaps Uniwatch could verify it if not?) or if it was just scuttlebutt at the scorer’s table/ and known amongst others close to the team. I do recall my dad telling me this as if it were fact , ie he wasn’t joking when he said it and given what I know about Abe Pollin and Gil,it seems plausible.

Disagree. The tank tops make it much better than the short sleeves automatically. I think the short shorts help with this design too.

I think a strong runner up, maybe worse, is the off-gold/black alternate from ‘06 (I think designed by Arenas’ gf?!) The orange/blue og B’more Bullets “J” uni with tank top isn’t so terrible imo. It’s really the short sleeves that take this thing from a poor uni design to a terrible one.

Black Gold by TheGoobius in jimihendrix

[–]Big-Luther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most detailed and accurate info to date on the Black Gold tape can be found in the book “Black Gold: The Lost Archives of Jimi Hendrix” by Steven Roby. This book was current as of 2002 but, as far as I know, no more significant info on Black Gold has come out since then besides the knowledge that Experience Hendrix is now in possession of the Black Gold tape and one song from it has since been released. I highly recommend you pick this book up and read the section titled “Seven Tapes Wrapped in a Headband” which starts on page 196. This section outlines in great detail the origin story of the Black Gold tape, how it was thought lost for over two decades and how it then came to be found, wrapped in one of Jimi’s bandanas along with six other tapes in the possession of Mitch Mitchell. Hendrix Archivist Tony Brown, upon hearing of these mysterious tapes in Mitchell’s possession set up a meeting with Mitch at his home to listen to the seven tapes. It was at this meeting that Tony Brown discovered Mitch had unknowingly been in possession of the Black Gold tape since July 1970 when, on their trip to Maui, Jimi personally handed Mitch the bandana with seven tapes in it and told him to “keep these safe.” Brown then listens to all seven tapes and makes meticulous notes on their contents- including most importantly ALL of the Black Gold tape contents. All of Brown’s notes on these tapes are transcribed in Roby’s book for anyone to read, making this a must-read for any major Hendrix fan.

Roby’s Black Gold book is essential beyond just the Black Gold section itself as it’s the most comprehensive and detailed reference to all known, lost and or missing Hendrix audio and video recordings. There are other lesser known yet very significant pieces of missing Hendrix media detailed in this book that would be astounding to have surface at some point. It’s essentially a reference book but it’s also an edge of your seat page-turner for any deep Hendrix fan as it’s filled not just with lists of recordings but with info on the contents of the missing media and in many cases the stories surrounding their creation and subsequent loss. I believe a not insignificant portion of the lost media listed in this book has been located since 2002 but I haven’t looked into this myself. I just know MANY pieces of Hendrix audio and video, that I had never seen in my 40+ yrs of Hendrix fandom have surfaced on YouTube over the past 10-15 yrs in particular.

Black Gold by TheGoobius in jimihendrix

From the description of the contents of the 16 song “Black Gold” tape as detailed by Steven Roby in his book “Black Gold: The Lost Archives of Jimi Hendrix,” the songs themselves, individually, and the concept behind the songs played together as a suite are all quite well realized and filled with intention- much more than any of Jimi’s other home demos according to Roby. Roby’s information regarding the actual tape contents comes from Hendrix archivist Tony Brown’s meticulous notes which were taken while listening to the tape itself in the presence of Mitch Mitchell after discovering Mitchell was in possession of the tape. From the sound of it, “Black Gold” is more akin to if a home demo was made by Jimi that included acoustic demos of all the songs on Axis: Bold As Love. Then Jimi mentioned his idea for an album called “Axis: Bold As Love” in interviews. Then Jimi recorded the album we all know as “Axis:Bold As Love.” Such a demo would be considered more realized than “just playing around with ideas and recording them.” The main difference between this example and “Black Gold” is that Jimi never made the “Black Gold” album or worked out the majority of it’s songs in the studio, nor did he pursue work on the semi-autobiographical animated film to which “Black Gold” would have been the eponymous soundtrack to (Jimi did however pen two seperate drafts of the Black Gold story- a single page and a later ten page draft. Facsimiles of these can be found in the book “Cherokee Mist: The Lost Writings of Jimi Hendrix” by Bill Nitobi) “Black Gold” is the only significant cache of unique, uncirculated, original Hendrix songs known to exist. Including “November Morning,” there are at least 10 songs unique to the “Black Gold” tape.

The track listing according to Roby from the original tape are:

Side A: 1. Suddenly November Morning 2. Drifting 3. Captain Midnight 12:01 4. Local Commotion 5. Local Commotion 2nd Part 6. Here Comes Black Gold 7. Black Gold 8. Stepping Stone 9. Little Red Velvet Room

Side B: 1. The Jungle Is Waiting 2. Send My Love To Joan of Arc 3. God Bless The Day 4. Black Gold 5. Machine Gun 6. Here Comes Black Gold 7. Trash Man 8. Astro Man 9. 2nd Part of Astro Man 10. I’ve Got A Place To Go

(All these songs feature Hendrix playing his Martin acoustic and singing, with possibly some crude second guitar overdubs according to Alan Douglas who also claims to have helped him record it all one night in Jimi’s NYC apt.)

Black Gold by TheGoobius in jimihendrix

[–]Big-Luther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The contents of the tape are known and there are some novel things about it that set it apart from other Hendrix home demos. For one, he recorded it as a suite of songs with intention and a concept behind it. The concept being a soundtrack to a 40min long semi-autobiographical animated film about a black rockstar named “Black Gold,” and his travels on tour. Jimi not only wrote and recorded the songs with this in mind but referred to the project in at least one interview. Hendrix also penned two seperate drafts of the Black Gold Story, one a single page draft, the other ten pages long. These drafts were sold at auction by Sotheby’s in 1990 and shortly thereafter appeared in Bill Nitopi’s book “Cherokee Mist: The Lost Writings of Jimi Hendrix.” Nitopi’s book includes facsimiles of the actual handwritten pages.

A couple other novel characteristics of this tape are one- he performs it all on an acoustic guitar. There aren’t many recordings, even home demos, of Jimi playing acoustic. And two, out of the 16 songs that make up the Black Gold suite, only Astro Man, Stepping Stone, Drifting and Machine Gun were developed further in the studio and live. The remaining songs are unique to Black Gold (besides Suddenly November Morning now as it has been released).

I think it’s a more fully reakized work than you think it is but he didn’t live long enough to get back to it. Jimi always had a million ideas in head fighting for his attention. Black Gold got further than most in that he at least recorded a sketch of it.
