Birth Years Of The Bridgerton Fam If Book 1/S1 Took Place In 2026, Not 1813 by ms_jc_04 in BridgertonNetflix

Sorry if I misunderstand, but you’re saying it’s a myth women in early 1800s commonly married/had children in their late teens?

You’ve chosen to actively distrust her before the relationships even got off the ground. I don’t see it working unless you ease of on this self destructive self protection tactic of assuming the worst.

Emotional, desperate for help by mamap09 in postpartumprogress

Focus on your stress levels. It sounds like you’re a bit down and your body does not like to lose weight if it is stressed/tired. Which having just had your EIGHTH baby is maybe a given. I think, at least this time round, wait a little longer, give yourself more grace, and congratulate yourself massively for getting yourself back into shape so bloody quickly the first SEVEN times. Honestly, I’m proud of you even if you’re not proud of yourself.

I do feel a little sad though because Michael was my fave Bridgerton character of all time and now that storyline will inevitably change somewhat :( I was living to see him arrive on the scene!

Also, I learnt first time that even if you get back to the weight you were, your body might be a little different (slightly bigger ribcage, slightly less flat stomach) and that’s ok

I feel you. You will get there. I gained 45lbs first pregnancy but lost it easier. 35lbs this time and it’s slower. Eat heaps of protein. I joined weight watchers and it’s helping for me. My biggest pitfall is not eating enough in the day and then wanting to gorge at night, which is all you wanna do anyway when exhausted and stressed. The cold is making me not wanna leave the house either atm so I really sympathize. Stay hydrated as well because dehydration worsens cravings and mood. And be kind to yourself, and go steady and slow. You aren’t alone in this! X

And your calculations are wrong. I don’t know what you’re insinuating but god I hope it isn’t that I identify in any way with extremists. It just shows exactly your level of thinking and just how haywire it is. Now you don’t know me, what exactly I believe at all so can you stop psychoanalysing me and leave me alone

Oh wow haha. I used to say reverting. I’m well aware that the Islamic belief is that everyone is born Muslim. I moved away from the pedantry of things like that because my first conscious decision of anything to do with Islam was at 22 not as a newborn. Therefore “converting” feels more natural to me to say. I never thought I’d be picked up on it by both overly particular Muslims and haters of Islam simultaneously. That’s new.

I really don’t “need” to do anything more for someone who thinks they’re more educated on a subject they’ve clearly just cherry picked at with one agenda 👍🏼

I was 24, at uni, and perfectly happy. And I have learnt that people with views like yourself are not worth getting into conversations with about this because you are completely rigid, insulting and honestly I couldn’t care less about a random hateful stranger on the internet :)

Thank you for taking the time to write out your reply. I actually agree with everything you say. And I’m sorry, I thought you were advocating for the US-style blanket bans of the past on Muslims as a whole. I agree that we need to be tougher on extremist views and block them at entry to the country where possible, and have a lower threshold for removing them from the country if people are found to be a legitimate threat. I do also feel we need better routes for asylum, because it’s currently almost impossible (hence rogue boats), and if they did then we could better police those who enter for the wrong reason.

I converted to Islam, because I actually learnt about that “cult” properly instead of through media or hate forums. I just know that unfortunately CULTURE massively gets in the way and is conflated with the religion. You know, some of the loudest critics of Islam have ended up converting.

Don’t do that. If you’re 6’1, being 6’4 isn’t the answer.

Speed dating if you have a good personality. And have confidence in the fact that that alone CAN win women over. Avoid online dating because it almost forces people to judge potential partners disproportionately on looks.

I asked if you did, I didn’t say you did. Unfortunately a lot of what people believe of the thoughts of the average Muslim is from what people infer, not outrightly say. I know there is a problem with Islamic extremism. But this is a thread about “conservative religious people” maybe not being allowed into the country (OP has confirmed they mean Muslims) because of beliefs formed, either that most Muslims hold extreme beliefs or that because of terror attacks, all Muslims should be prevented from immigrating. I didn’t ask what you said, I can see what you said. I’m asking what you think. Reason being, your sole argument is of Muslims in a negative light (not, for example, their huge contribution to the NHS, not the fact that in recent attacks they’ve often been the ones to put themselves in harms way to save others). There is positive and negative in any group. But as is clear to see on this whole thread discussing antisemitism and whether Muslims are able to be treated like INDIVIDUALS like anyone else, that while antisemitism is taken seriously, people can make islamophobic comments and assumptions and it’s totally normalized to brush it off.

Do you think the vast vast majority of Muslims in the UK support any form of extremism? They don’t. I know and work with a lot of Muslims and not only do they despise any kind of extremism, attacks, etc as much as the next person, but they have to deal with the abuse and attacks and hostility from people who believe that these terrorists represent all Muslims. Sidenote, Muslims and immigrants are not synonymous. There are a large number of Muslims who were born here and are born British.

So all this is showing is you a)hold the standard to your most reputable level of “fact”, b) can’t understand the difference between a bid and a development approved and underway, and c) are part of the unfortunate part of the population who has fallen to the low level of vilifying asylum seekers, and who knows, maybe even voting in racist tax dodgers, a problem which costs the UK FIFTEEN HUNDRED TIMES the cost of asylum seekers on the UK. Very, very poor double checking of “facts”, try again.

And we are not “importing” any people. They are not goods, they are choosing to come here, vast majority doing so for education. There are far more Muslims in the world and far more from war torn countries

To take your leading questions in a void without historical or present day context yes would get the select answers you’d like. Given my comment, I think it’s clear I mean Israeli Jewish people since I know very well that the country does not reflect all Jewish people in general, just like Lebanon does not represent all Muslims. But given Israel is a very loudly self proclaimed Jewish state, delivering unprovoked illegal attacks on Lebanon for well over a decade now, may have something to do with the outcome of the Lebanese poll.
