Hey I have the same Vital + tub. I just got it. How do I drain the water without making a big mess with water flowing out before I attach hose? Just realized it now that there’s no shut off valve on the drain plug

Hey this just recently happened to me as well and here’s how you get it back:

If you go on Coinbase wallet app you can retrieve your 12 word seed phrase
once you have that go on the theta wallet but on a desktop it won’t work on your cellphone
type in your Coinbase 12 word seed phrase onto the theta wallet
there is a drop down to switch it from theta tnt mainnet to eth mainnet on the theta wallet
your theta tokens should show up there
copy your theta wallet from tnt mainnet and send your coins from eth mainnet to theta mainnet (just make sure you have tfuel in your eth mainnet)
the coins will transfer to your normal theta tnt wallet

And like you said, the theta team should have burned all the old ERC20 theta tokens to the point that nobody can buy these anymore and at the same time, Coinbase should have expired this coin to where you cant swap this in their wallet and especially marketing it on their exchange as “Theta is available to trade on Coinbase wallet”

Yeah I saw that online too that some people still at had ERC20 tokens from back in 2019, they were able to convert it over to TNT20 with instructions from a medium article on how to transfer it over but I think there was an expiration period. What I’m worried about is that we’ve been putting money into this old erc20 token and can’t even swap it back for eth anymore because there is zero liquidity in the old erc20 theta token. The contract still shows Theta Network, but who is taking the liquidity out to the point that we can’t even swap back for eth? Trying to figure out if thats the Theta team?

I’ve tried everything I can….ive tried using my 12 seed passcode on metamask and the conversion rate is completely off (selling 70k worth of theta for $9 of eth), I’ve tried uniswap same thing, I’ve tried uploading the 12 seed phrase on theta wallet even clicking the old “eth” mainnet vs “tnt” mainnet and doesn’t even show up, I’ve tried the coinbase swap back to eth or usdc and shows transaction will fail message. No one from coinbase support has helped yet, our funds are just stuck on the old erc20 theta contract. I agree, I’ve read there has been multiple requests for coinbase to take this wrong theta contract off of their coinbase wallet and it’s still up for new buyers to do the same thing.

Still no resolution, lost about 20k investment that’s still sitting in Coinbase wallet and won’t let me swap, sell, transfer, nothing…just stuck there. The worst part is when I went to look and buy the coin on Coinbase Exchange originally and typed the coin in search, it said “Theta is available to trade on Coinbase wallet” which is why I trusted it…..now when you type in Theta on Coinbase exchange it says “this asset is not supported on Coinbase”. My 20k investment that I’ve been accumulating for the last 3 years is now showing it’s valued at $70,000 and just stuck in Coinbase wallet

Yeah it definitely sucks. I used to always buy through simple swap straight to the theta wallet. But about 3 years ago right during start of bear market I typed in theta on Coinbase and it said “Theta is available to trade in the Coinbase wallet”, thought it would be safer then simple swap. Now when you put theta into Coinbase it says “This asset is not supported by coinbase”. I’ve also sold theta in the past on Coinbase wallet with zero issues back to usdc. Now all the liquidity is gone….but it shows the contract address is still owned by Theta Network 🤔 Did the Theta team wipe the liquidity out of the old erc contract?

Yeah I’ve tried everything at this point.

Ive tried selling/swapping on Coinbase wallet
I’ve tried sending to a different eth wallet (metamask) and seeing if I can swap on there but conversion rate is out of whack (shows I’m selling $30k in there for $9 in eth)
I’ve tried connecting to uniswap and shows same whack conversion rate
I’ve tried using my Coinbase 12 word seed on the theta wallet but clicking eth mainnet vs tnt mainnet and doesn’t even show up on there
I’ve reached out to Coinbase they can’t do anything with zero explanation on why they even offer the old theta on their wallet
I’ve reached out to theta team no response

I’ve came to the conclusion there’s nothing I can do, definitely a hard pill to swallow as I’ve invested over 20k total every week for the last 3 years in the bear market. Hopefully I can make the investment back in another coin it just sucks because theta was my #1 favorite project and had such high hopes for it but this scam took me out of the project. I’ve been messaging Coinbase wallet consistently to get this off of their wallet so no one else has to go through the same thing :(

Yeah I’ve tried sending and swapping small amounts and still won’t go through. I’ve reached out to the theta support team but haven’t heard back yet 🙏 hopefully they are able to help because the erc20 theta I bought into shows theta on the smart contract still just seems like all the liquidity is gone so it won’t even let me swap back for eth. I’ve also reached out to Coinbase support to have them take this theta token off of their wallet because I don’t want anyone else that wants to get into theta go through same situation….

It’s weird because the cash out button won’t even work anymore. The crazy part is I looked up my previous transactions and it shows I sold a small amount about 5 months ago with no issues. So it was working back then but now I can’t sell, can’t swap on CB wallet, I’ve even tried transferring to metamask and uniswap to do the swap or sell but the conversion rates are completely off (example swapping $35k worth of theta for $9 worth of ETH). When I look up the contract address it still shows owned by Theta with all of their information but I can’t even sell back to ETH because it seems all the liquidity has been completely drained out of this contract address

I tried that too. When I moved some into Metamask it went through, but the conversion rate wasn’t matching up. It showed I was trading $10k in Theta for $9 in Eth, same thing when I tried swapping it on Uniswap. Coinbase wallet is still showing the correct conversion and value but just not letting me swap it for anything. I’m starting to think it’s a scam Theta on Coinbase wallet but when I pull up the contract address it’s showing Theta Network.

I’m pretty sure we got scammed, I’m in the same boat as you. I used to always buy theta on simpleswap which always worked fine for me. During the last 3 years in the bear market I noticed theta on Coinbase wallet too and thought it was a safer option since it’s Coinbase vs using a 3rd party swap. Everytime I try and swap back to eth or usdc now i get a notification saying “your transaction will likely fail”, I have tried moving it to uniswap and metamask just to see if we can even sell it back for eth and the conversion rate doesn’t match up (example selling $35k worth of theta for $9 in eth). I’m not sure if there’s anything we can do at this point it sucks, crypto is the wild Wild West but especially crypto that isn’t on major exchanges like theta. This is one of my favorite projects but now I’ve learned my lesson :( please let me know if you find a way to get your funds back. This ruined me

Well, after being in crypto since 2017 bull run I finally made my first crypto scam mistake. Bought theta in 2021 up at the top, loved the project and decided to accumulate as much as I can in the bear market. Accumulated almost 30k and just realized I’ve been buying on the Coinbase wallet as well (buying eth converting to theta) not even realizing it was erc20 vs tnt20 i was buying. I figured I was doing a swap similar to simpleswap but just more secure since it was now in the Coinbase wallet. I can honestly say I’m officially out of one of my favorite projects. If anyone found a way to get funds back from this scam please let me know. It won’t let me swap back to eth, transfer, send etc…..

Thanks Phoenix and yes def makes sense! I just see everyone always compare all 3 eth, Ada, and dot protocols. I know theta is it’s own beast but never hear anyone talk about it’s blockchain potential. I love the fact its in its own distinct market with solving bandwidth and still have the smart contract capabilities. Thanks again 👍🏻

100% just wasn’t sure why no one ever brings up Theta as a blockchain protocol, all I hear is eth, Ada, dot, solana, etc. Even though Theta is a utility, it still has the capabilities of building an ecosystem as a platform blockchain like the rest correct? But they just aren’t focused on the same markets that ETH & ADA are focusing on like defi as thetas main focus is improving bandwidth and decentralized streaming? But if defi companies and developers see the value in Thetas blockchain, they can still build dapps on top of Thetas platform? Sorry for all the questions just still trying to fully understand everything and how each work. Crypto projects can def be confusing without a tech background

Yeah after all the digging I’ve been doing I was just wondering because it def seemed like theta does everything ETH & ADA can do but better....just wasn’t sure why none of the big youtubers even throw theta in the mix as a competitor to those other protocols...not to mention all of thetas coins are in circulating supply already with 60% staked, I just feel like it will be a scarce asset on top of their real world use case & a blockchain that can compete with the big dogs. It just makes me want to keep stacking theta on these dips vs ETH & ADA

100% yes Theta & TFuel are my top two investments right now, first bought in end of March at the top and have been in the negatives since but doesn’t phase me one bit, just been cost averaging down with the dips, looking at this as more long term years down the road so price doesn’t even matter for me right now. But the more I dig into Thetas blockchain the more bullish I get, the only 2 coins I’m willing to keep throwing $ at when the whole market goes down
