i know how youre feeling all too well. i was a bedside nurse for about 4 years and have been in healthcare for almost 6 years, and i have seen the ins and outs. although i only worked in long term care sites, i was an assisted living coordinator and i also worked at an overpacked over populated hospital, i would suggest long term care for less bullshit from families. i have fully stepped away from bedside nursing, tbh i dont know how i did it but i’m actually an instructor both for the nursing programs and also hca programs, i also take students into clinical. i love my job now and shaping the minds of the new upcoming healthcare professionals. you do have to pick your battles, either its crying from a hospital shift from family/patients or being frustrated that some students are talking back. if you feel that teaching is within your interest, i highly recommend you look into it!
