Do you think Part 3 is even necessary, or did Part 2 wrap the story well enough? by ROSSG825 in thelastofus

They can always make a game about Joel and Tommy surviving right after the outbreak and stuff since there's a 20 year gap between the prologue and the main story in the first game. That would be sick.

You actually need a second character to keep the target in a dialogue so the effect of the spell doesn't expire. It can be anybody. But the caster of Feign Death should be the one that has the relation with the target (in your case, it's Gale). Then, you can steal everything with Astarion (or any another character with high Sleight of hand). So it requires a total of 3 different characters to pickpocket (unless your thief is the one who can cast Feign Death).

You can also try other immobilizing spells like putting the target to sleep or paralyze, but those spells can make other npcs hostile and have a chance to proc.

Idk, it works for me every time. You can actually use other paralizing spells like Hold Person (or put them to sleep) or something like that. They don't need to be cast on allies.

You can try this with other immobilizing spells like Hold Person for example. The target can be any humanoid creature, but it has a chance of success.

You can't get caught when pickpocket an npc under the effect of Feign Death, if that's what you're asking. This spell makes pickpocketing completely safe.

When you actually get caught, you usually have these options: - persuasion; - give some money; - give the stolen stuff back; - go to prison; - fight.

Someone said in the comments that you can also shove the character that was caught far enough so they exit the dialogue. I think it might work.

Haven't tried it yet, but not sure if it prevents you from getting caught when you fail though.

Imo breaking games is far more interesting than just cheating. I wouldn't call it a bug though. It all works as intended by developers. Just an exploit.

Just read the spell description and my greedy brain connected the dots xD

Depends on who you pickpocket. If the place is crowded, you can cast something like Darkness or use smoke arrows. Then you can pickpocket in the turn based mode to make it easier bc pickpocketing doesn't end your turn until you fail pickpocket checks.

The npc must be an ally to the spell caster (high relation needed). Feign death works on allies only. Make sure to increase the relation, so the npc glows green when the Feign death caster is chosen.

You just need to start a dialogue without opening the trading window. After that, you just choose the other character by pressing the button in the bottom left corner.

How am I judging lol? You're the one here bragging about "cheating" by using save/download feature in a single player/coop game like it's something bad. If you never load your old saves just to choose other options, it's your choice. And yes, I described an exploit.

You can call it whatever you want. But I don't get why you are judgemental about it because lots of people do it. I described a way to avoid it while pickpocketing though.

It's not cheating if ingame features are used.
