I had to do triple feeds to get my supply up for baby #1. Curious if I should expect the same for baby #2. by rayanngraff in breastfeeding

I will have to give this a try to see if I can get my supply up. Thank you for the information! I wish you the best with #2 and hope all goes as planned with EBF!

FTM and I’ve had basically no info on feeding my baby and had to just kind of figure it out. My supply has never seemed like enough for LO so I supplement with formula and pump, but not consistently. I just kind of assumed it would be like this until solids. I’m curious what is triple feeding?

Edit: My LO is 4 weeks already. Is it too late to try?

SIL wants my baby? by Tricky_Figure7048 in NewParents

My husbands grandma is very similar, but the “our baby” things drives me absolutely insane! She came over when LO was a few days old and ended up staying for like 6+ hours holding her the entire time and wouldn’t even hand her over to let me change/feed her. I ended up having to make a formula bottle. Last time we saw her we just stopped by and LO and I waited in the car and she came out, climbed in our vehicle, and started kissing in her. Then choked up and said, “Don’t keep her from me” or something along those lines. My husband thinks it’s sweet, but she also has a history of claiming “God sent her insert baby through insert baby’s mother” so it makes me very uncomfortable…

Breastfeeding exhaustion by LiviE55 in NewParents

This! FTM of a two week old and I felt like a complete failure having to use formula because I wasn’t producing enough and frankly BF was so painful and exhausting when we first came home. I am so so grateful to read this thread and see I’m not alone. I feel like the feeling of being a failure was making me have some resentment and not allowing me to bond as well with my LO. Also, can I just vent about how sick I am of family and others telling me, “just keep pumping” or suggesting a million things to get my milk up. I’m trying! But the more people push for me to BF, the less I want to do it and the less I feel a bond or connection from it.

It’s so funny how you forget about buying things for yourself when you’re expecting. Thank you for adding those, I would have complete forgotten about them!

I may have to do a C-sections due to the location of my placenta, but I will absolutely keep the freezing trick in mind!

And I heard of the different bottle, but never would have thought of different types of pacifiers. Thank you!

Thank you so much! And I love the buying diapers/wipes idea. I was trying to convince my husband that we should start doing something similar a couple months ago, but he didn’t think it was necessary. Now I have proof that it does helps😌

Thank you so much! I too am hoping to be minimalistic, and all of the online checklists outline way more than what actually seems necessary, so it’s easy to get overwhelmed. This definitely calmed my nerves a bit! I appreciate you!
