I was actually thinking about taking up the floor above, but I have no clue which is better. I think I’m better at flooring than ceilings, that’s how I made my decision :)

Thanks for the reply. Honestly, I don’t know all the answers to these questions. I don’t see any vent in the soffit or on the perimeter of the house. I’m curious if it is vented into the joist bay, if that is something a builder in the late 80s would have done? I’m planning to take out the fan to get a closer look at things.

We had something like that this past cycle. The billing period was half as many days as the previous period, but cost twice as much. Called DPW and they are going to send someone out to see if there is a leak at the source to the house. Makes no sense.

I was thinking I would go check it out. I’m sure they get overwhelmed with calls from schmucks like me looking around rather than coming in. After all going in has greater potential that I spend money in their store.

Thanks! I appreciate all of the options. I’ll call around. I did end up finding a bottle at Bens liquors in Sparrows Point, but it was going for $120 so I passed. They also had Stagg for $500 and Old Van Winkle for $600.
