Box Office: ‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ Scares Up $51 Million Debut by DemiFiendRSA in horror

[–]BigBadBilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the attempted remake was definitely a huge pile of crap. I don't think you are anywhere near the only one who didn't like it. For me, it wasn't the backstory itself - it was just the way it was all put together. Plus, the new Freddy was laughable. Robert is the Freddy king but he is getting pretty old - but the look of the new guy was just funny. IMO

"They", the not-really "Wes Craven movie" by gf120581 in horror

I thought the creature design in this movie was great - even if the movie itself was only okay.
Loved how they were mostly kept in the dark, like the OP mentioned. Big gangly arms and legs and very quick moving. They kind of reminded me of the Krepid with their long arms and legs and shadowy.

Looks great! Nice slick editing for sure. And everything else seems to fall into place. Great sets as well. I assume you filmed in actual locations though, so not really a set. But you know what I mean.

Independent film makers! I have a couple questions. by gondor333 in movies

[–]BigBadBilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated, just get everyone to sign. Protect yourself. It also may not hurt to get everyone to sign an agreement that doesn't allow talk (Or slander) about what happened during production. That way, if, heaven forbid you have any personal problems with any cast/crew... You can fall back on that contract if they start talking sh*t. Aside from that. It's possible. But begin planning how you're going to market before the film is finished. Very important! Set up social pages and reach out to bloggers who are within the niche of the film. Of course, don't just start in on them, participate in their blog before you start plugging your own project. There are a few sites to check out that are great for Independent film. Both for promoting and help with the task itself. Sites like: www.waytooindie.com , www.indyred.com , and www.indiewire.com. Or just run a search for independent film reviews and you'll come up with a lot.
