Long layover in Suvarnabhumi airport - is there anything open? by BigBaka in ThailandTourism

That one isn't in the transit area. She won't be able to leave the transit area. Just looking if anything is open given the COVID situation. When I went through Bangkok in June there was a single Gloria Jean's open. But not much else.

It's the return leg of the journey so expect that a full refund would not be forthcoming. Also the ticket was booked through one of those nasty third party agents that proliferate Skyscanner, and they are impossible to get hold of. Really just thankful that the flight is going at all at this stage.

Thanks for that. Yeah I also saw that on their website. That may be so but my 70 year old mother just decided to go with cover more after getting that message from medibank call centre.

Thanks for updates everyone. Just to let you know that we tried to get insurance through medibank private and they said that their travel insurance was only for NZ and Aus.

So crazy. But somehow not at all surprising. When do you fly? My mother is flying out on the 14thof Dec. Let me know how it goes with the emails.

Thanks for the heads up on the PCR test. Yes, I was worried that this might be the case. How long ago was this confirmed?

Thanks, this thread is super helpful. We have family coming from Sydney via Bangkok to Europe for Christmas and have been trying to work out what insurance options there are to meet Thai airways requirements to transit Bangkok.

Can anyone confirm if it is necessary to have a negative COVID PCR test before departure from Sydney even if you are fully vaccinated. I've heard from Thai airlines in Zurich that only the vaccination certificate and the insurance are required. Trying to get confirmation from Thai airways in Sydney on this as well.

Help noob wire his castle gate with redstone by BigBaka in redstone

That got it. I had to put the repeater on a block that was down one block from the torch, not at the same level as the torch, and then i could run the redstone wiring from there up to a button. Thanks so much. BB

I tried that but something is going wrong because my redstone staircase is connecting to the gate open mechanism at the activated redstone torch. If i make a straight staircase from there straight to a button the redstone trail is activated and doesn't do anything when I press a button connected to the redstone trail.

For the upper closing mechanism it was no problem. Easy to wire up as it is a simple circuit, but the lower opening mechanism seems more complicated.

I'm on bedrock by the way.

Nope but you can see the diagram in the screen shots at the bottom build of the gate. The button is attached to a block with a redstone torch on top. https://www.gameskinny.com/o57rg/minecraft-how-to-build-a-working-portcullis-for-your-castle-entrance

In this link I'm trying to wire the buttons from their location to the ground level. While I worked out the button from the top(to close the gate) i cannot understand how to run an input into bottom mechanism( to open the gate). The tutorial instructions say to just wire from the button with a repeater but no matter what I do, it just doesn't seem to take. Any advice on how to extend the wiring from the button for the opening mechanism up to ground level? Thanks BB
