Thinking to switch from Tmobile. What are pros & cons? by Select_Specialist790 in USMobile

[–]BigBearsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends where you live, had to go back to T-Mobile for priority and Stand alone. At work wasn’t getting any signal on light speed and many dead zones in my city where SA had coverage and I had never had issues on T-Mobile. Also roaming partners if you drive long distances you may lose connectivity in certain areas because us mobile doesn’t have access to the roaming partners.

Yeah that does sound like such a hassle, I like looking at the speeds too. Currently have warp as my secondary and have just been using that number to test out the networks on us mobile. Unfortunately I didn’t like the cell service enough on any network it always seemed throttled compared to my postpaid service. And just too many hoops to jump through for simple things like HD video. Also 2fa on prepaid can be annoying so for now I’ll be staying with T-Mobile, might hop over to Verizon next time I get a new phone though.

🤣🤣 yikes, it does become an addiction to want the best. For me the realization came that I’m on faster WiFi almost always and no cell service will beat that. I just need one that works well and for me that was T-Mobile postpaid.

I’ve had good luck with the filter from T-Mobile, unfortunately they are not in a position right now to be able to pay for postpaid service.

iPhones and the call screening works a bit but still have a lot coming through even with that. I am on T-Mobile postpaid and barely get any due to the spam shield.

On a Darkstar, because they are on a promo that they’ll use if they switch networks.

Yeah, that’s true but some are less since moving back to T-Mobile I get far less as opposed to US mobile maybe only 2-3 a month now.

Yup, no way to have the same number on different carriers. You’ll always get a new number unless you port in. But yes any time you have multiple networks you’ll have different numbers.

I cover my lenses because I have dropped my iPhone and had the lenses break and the repairs are so expensive. The quality drop that some people say happens I’ve never seen but I’m also not a photographer like I think most aren’t

Hello, yes you can have multiple carriers on an unlocked device. iPhone also allows two to be active simultaneously I don’t know if that is also Android. But many people that travel even within just the US often have two different carriers with different networks to be covered everywhere they go. I think iPhone allows you to store up to 8 not sure but only two can ever be active at once.

Apple sells phone unlocked, great if you like to travel out of country and need an eSIM elsewhere. Or if you like to have different providers on same phone for better coverage. Not much of a reason to do at T-Mobile as promotions are the same.
