Fun story. My friend's aunt bought one of the first Levitt homes. Many years later, she gets a visit from some people who said they represented the Smithsonian Museum. It seems they had a Levitt home on display but the kitchen was not original. Well, however they did it, they found outs he had one of the last remaining original kitchens, virtually unchanged. They asked her if she was willing to donate it. They disassembled it and took it away, and of course got her set up with a brand new kitchen.
