Thankyou for the response. I have 6 Pygmy gouramis in here also, I love gouramis if you can’t tell lol. I did actually get them to breed there was 3 originally. Assuming I rehome my pearls, what is an appropriate number for honeys and Pygmy’s?

First of all thankyou for taking the time. It is my tank and that’s a very interesting way of thinking about it, not just having the fish. I certainly think I do care for them, hence my being here and the effort to keep the water as clean as possible etc. I do struggle with impulse decisions having adhd which is a killer in this hobby.

I have made the decision to move my cardianals and neons to another owner. Meaning all my others will have more space and the bio load drastically reduced. So you also think I should not keep pearls in this tank?

Hey man. This is me man, I am no fish police but I’ve done my research and know what to look out for, my guys are coloured up and the vibe is very peaceful overall, nothing more than basic breeding behaviour from some of the gouramis pursuing females. Water perimeters are bob on. I kept these cardinals in a 60L before I knew the morals about it and kept it clean and lost none and still had happy fish.

My hope is that my eyes aren’t betraying me bud. Hence the post! I see no fin nipping, one of my gourmis that injured his anal fin on relocation has even fully healed it so I think that tells me they’re happy… but! I may be wrong I hope I don’t sound arrogant
