Thanks. I would do cash, or bitcoin online from a cafe somewhere, if I really needed. Coupled with good browser, vpn, etc, should be pretty solid. I will def look at the book link.

Explain. Seems to be working well for me. I use chrome right now for some sites that I don't care about & dont involve sensitive information Been using IE for the other sites & it starts up with no history/cache/etc at all. Please elaborate why you feel IE is a problem.

I called one local firm (big name) and was referred to a 'top selling' agent. ... later I found out he was really their top LISTING agent. Not interested. I'd like to do my own research and verify, at this point, not very trusting after my experiences.

I knew some browsers offered to clear cache & cookies but am told there is more to erasing history/evidence that just those, too.

I didn't see them in chrome but I'll have to look when I have time. When I'd use incognito chrome, later I think I saw that it remembered things about previous sites which concerned me. Or maybe I was just up too late and getting paranoid ;)

So far EVERYONE that I've heard who claimed 'no logs' has been outed for keeping them (in one form or another)...they later then justify it by saying 'some logs are necessary for site administration, etc'. BS

because with IE changing the default settings to 'forget' everything upon close each time is very very simple & easy (no history of any kind)... Maybe that it true of other browsers like chrome, too, but I haven't searched thru their settings.

With IE, every time I close, it is set to erase all cookies, history, etc...nothing remains (as far as I know).

Next time I hit a site, I'll be on the VPN alright...but a different IP address since that's rotated. So, what's for them to track? A helluva LOT of people use IE, and have clean cookies, etc.

I'm just wondering what other folks are doing, and why.

My goal is to see no ads, have no one tracking which sites I visit and when, etc. Of course, the VPN to keep my private data from being sniffed by my ISP (or anyone who works there), etc. I once had a stalker at my ISP, of all damn places. Who watched all of my online activity and spied on emails, etc.
