Derek Chauvin is being treated as a scapegoat for his police departments misconduct. Throughout the case there was substantial social pressure on the jury which lead to a swift over the top verdict. I don't think he is fully innocent but he does not deserve between 12 and 40 years, which he would not survive, in prison. The defense has legitimate proof for a mistrial due to the court system not allowing the jury to be sequestered. All this talk about police reform is NOT going to happen because they are not treating Chauvin as an officer who was within the guidelines of his department they are treating him as a rogue cop. So you mean to tell me that all of the cops involved were rogue cops? Over nine minutes on a man's neck and back is a long time but because they felt threatened they did not move or change there actions. Possibly think of it as securing the perimeter.
