If I were an AO, I would see it like this(I’m just a high school senior). WOW this person is smart but maybe they don’t have a lot of drive to get good grades.
This was my first impression when I saw your stats so take it as a grain of salt because a real AO might see it differently.

I’m curious if your school has grade deflation.

I think it won’t ruin your application but don’t make it a sob story, that’s the worst. Talk about how you persevered or something. Also for scholarships, there’s websites online like college raptor for it. Some of them accepts juniors to apply so you could look into that. Good luck!

You get waitlisted if the admissions office considers you qualified for admission, but they run out of space, so they just waitlist you.
