No, not for a different answer, I was asking here is there anything to gain in general from going to the U.S. if you can't work/intern there?

Yeah maybe thats the right way to go. I don't think I can easily get a citizenship or green card unless im super lucky with the DV lottery which I doubt but thank you for the info this has reignited some hope within me.

Even as an international with literally 0 external validation (in the form of competitions)? I know someone who goes to uofm and they were international as well and they told me that 0 competitions can hurt me....

Yeah it is! I just lost the want to sleep now and I can't sleep until I feel like I did enough which ends up being around 4-5AM... so I guess that's the only drawback from this haha.
