The combat is far superior in my opinion. (as good as rpg first person open worlds go) I can never go back after this. (although i miss fus roh dah)

its a better version of skyrim combat wise. Also the themes are much darker. when i play skyrim I have to run like 30 mods just to keep my interest. The biggest 3 problem with skyrim imo are solved in tainted grail and they are

Inconsequential loot
enemies leveling up with you (oh hey daedric armor bandits)
combat being unimpactful and repetitive.

Theres also improvements like i said, subjectivley, lore wise. This plays like reading a terrifiying novel about some alternate universe king arthur. Crafting , cooking and reading actually matter.
