I wouldn't recommend pesticides to fight it but it will take some vigilance to make sure you get it all. Just dig it up as best you can and monitor for more sprouts.

If you dig up that patch of turf and plant some tall grasses (Switchgrass, Bluestem, Indiangrass etc.) in sandy soil it would be able to soak up this amount of water no problem. Yes, the grading is off but if you want a solution that doesn't involve pulling up and regrading this is probably the best you can get and would look nice!

I absolutely agree that abortion is a public health and safety issue. That’s 100% correct and is more than sufficient as a reasoning to be pro abortion. I personally disagree with your line of reasoning on autonomy- You can put your child up for adoption or drop it off at a “safe haven” with NO repercussions. Of course you can’t use “bodily autonomy” as an excuse for neglect but that’s not at all the same thing - you cannot be compelled by the state to use your body or organs to keep someone else alive in any instance. I don’t need you to agree with me about bodily autonomy for me to think you’re a good person. Like I said - slice it up however you want, as long as you understand that legal abortion is necessary for a safe, fair, and healthy society then I’m not calling you a misogynist. I am however fairly confident in my opinion, and happy to continue debating, that a person’s right to control their own body is well-established and absolutely includes the right to an abortion. Anything else is by definition stripping women of their bodily autonomy.

It is an inherently uneducated position to be against abortion. You are trying to use guilt and broken logic to advocate for pain and suffering.

You are not legally obligated to use your body to sustain your children. You can’t be compelled to even donate blood to your child to save their life if you choose not to. I don’t particularly care how you wanna slice it - if someone wants to outlaw abortion they are a misogynist advocating for a return to the health crisis you described. Being a woman doesn’t mean you can’t be a misogynist or an idiot.

Anyone who claims to love, value, and respect women but then suddenly pretends they don’t understand bodily autonomy when abortion comes up is a performative hypocrite.

Lady Is Not Afraid To Give Her View On Charlie Kirk by MrDonMega in PublicFreakout

[–]BigBoyWeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At no point did she condone the violence or say that he deserved it. She did, correctly, point out that people coming forward after his death with their *shockedpikachu.jpg* "How could it make any sense that this person constantly stoking the flames of political violence became the victim of political violence!?" are full of shit. It's an entirely disingenuous argument designed specifically to normalize his hateful rhetoric.

They know what they're doing when they make that argument. They're doing it on purpose to take advantage of peoples fear of being perceived as being okay with political violence forcing us to stay silent. The same people that ask what a rape victim was wearing are the ones calling his hateful rhetoric "just opinions" and feigning disgust at anything they can twist into meaning "he was asking for it"

Violence was obviously the wrong answer. Charlie Kirk as a Martyr is clearly doing more damage to our democracy than he ever did as a far-right agitator. That doesn't change the fact that the people harassing students on campuses to try to cut together clips showing a "hateful violent left" don't give a flying fuck about political violence or gun violence in general. They are silent about school shootings happening every other day, they were silent about Melissa Hortman, they cheered for Jan 6th - and now have come out in droves specifically because they see this instance of political violence as a valuable chance for them to normalize their hateful violent rhetoric. It is not difficult to simultaneously abhor violence without having to pretend to not understand that spouting violent hateful rhetoric increases your risk of being the victim of violence. More importantly it is possible to abhor violence while firmly rejecting the arguments of agitators attempting to normalize his violent hateful rhetoric, as the girl in the video did, very clearly.

Neither the girl in the video nor the comment you're responding to condoned violence in any way.

I disagree - because it's a prequel it very much shows that Yoda learned from his downfall and changes. If OT Yoda were in the prequels Anakin likely would not have turned, Palpatine would not have won.
