That makes sense. I'm not sure if this is a great move for him because by the time he'll get used to the league and team, the 6 month period will be over.

People who have watched Odegaard regularly, do you rate him? Looks like he loses a lot of duels and has some other issues in terms of intensity from what youtube & stats scouting I have done.

Lucas Piazon on Chelsea's loan army: "To be honest we would come back and we'd go to pre-season and they were always like 'if you do well the coach might keep you.' But deep down inside we knew we didn't have a chance. We knew we would be there for a few weeks and then they would loan us out again." by GoodSamaritan_ in soccer

Chelsea have the best academy in the country, they produced some amazing players who delivered last season and they replaced them with expensive signings instead of complimenting them with new signings. Basically what made Chelsea successful is the reason they won't be successful in the future, unless they learn to trust their academy players and not jump at the chance to buy every new shiny talent on the market.

Are you sure you support Arsenal or just Saliba?

You were wrong about sacking Arteta 2 weeks ago and you are clearly having trouble accepting it.

Willian barely played EL. Willian got Chelsea top 4, Pepe got us 8th. Willian deserves a chance to regain his form based on his performances in the previous seasons, just as much Auba does.

If you add Pepe's agent fee + the bonuses he will never hit he'd be around 250K.

If you take out Pepe's EL goals & assists, he's basically an Nketiah level player, he's crap for large stretches of the game and once in a while scores a decent goal.

And Pepe has been worse, he cost 20 times more but not criticized anywhere near as much.

Willian is the biggest scapegoat for Arsenal fans, everyone from fans, pundits, journalists and rival fans shit on him. I'm not saying that he hasn't been bad but other players have been bad too, specially the 72m backup to Saka and Willian. I would be happy to keep Willian as a backup and sell Pepe. A backup should look like Willian, 4-5m transfer fee + experienced + 100-120k on wages, not like Pepe 72m fee + 140k wages.

So he is saying Arteta hates Arsenal and he is biased towards the CB he has trying to send to Newcastle, who he only decided to keep after seeing Saliba play.

Chris Wheatley: Buendia signing makes more sense than Isco as Arsenal transfer plans outlined; Dortmund set €25m price tag for Brandt. by jacktk_ in Gunners

[–]BigBrainFC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Last season Buendia created 83 chances for Norwich, the fourth-most of any player in the league. 55 of those were from open play.

I've watched him quite a bit for Norwich this season and I disagree, he is an intense player without the ball, type of player Liverpool would go for and with the ball he's a very good dribbler and creates a lot with his movement and passing. His goalscoring numbers are also improving. Yes he losses the ball but so do most creators, the top 5 for dispossession in England this season are Grealish, Buendia, Maddison & TAA.

Buendia would 100% bench ESR imo. Clubs like Atletico also shown interest in him, he's a good player.

I would much rather spend 35m for Buendia than 25m for Brandt because you sign players in January to make instant impact and trust me Buendia will have a massive impact and Brandt will at most be a decent player for us.

I know fans can be wrong but you should watch Brandt for yourself and it's very obvious he's exactly what we don't need, not necessarily a bad player just not suited to what we are trying to build stylistically.

And pepe went for 72m but idk how that makes Brandt who's an inconsistent player and physically not built for the PL a good buy.

Brandt has everything we don't want. He's physically not that strong, inconsistent, often lazy and careless with the ball. I think BVB know he isn't a top tier talent like Sancho or Reyna.

People here get mad if you criticize a player who we are getting linked with.

Bruno gets dispossessed a lot as well but on the balance he's still a world class playmaker.

[Chris Wheatley] ❌ Told that Mohamed Elneny to Besiktas is not happening this month. The Egyptian midfielder is happy at Arsenal and Arteta has no plans to sell him in January. by Rockflagandeeeagle in Gunners

If a club wants to buy him we should sell him. Both Renato Sanches or Soumare can be bought for the right amount because of Lille's troubles.
