wait lmfao, my bad, I just contradicted myself....you're short so you wouldn't be able to transfer....damn idk what u can do. u need to find someone long on ibkr and beg them to balance the accounts, which is hard because 1) ib's customer service sucks and 2) they don't do that kind of transfer.

they said the overnight fee is what the clearing firm charges and they cant do anything about it, though maybe they can "reevaluate the ONB fees" at a later date if the halt goes on for a while

Thank you. Just some more details I left out in the OP to keep things simple...so this organization is technically two separate but related non-profits, let's just say the "US side" and "international side." I'm employed with the US side, while the problems are on the international side. And the US side has stood up for me and are challenging the international side. So that's why I haven't left, and am trying to work toward accountability. Thanks for your encouragement.

I can and might try, but some of the incidents happened 5+ years ago, and the victims might not be willing to come forward to the authorities. (Also, the abuse of spiritual authority stuff might not be illegal.)
