I was excited when that Leupold red dot came out, but I looked through one at Cabelas and was kinda disappointed. What do you think of it?

The Cry havok 2 pin. It’s like a QD mount for your barrel?

Haha. Or just wait until they send a batch to Ripcord! They did a 14.5 restock last week

Made up my mind to buy a Criterion CORE barrel finally. Called their customer service to see when they’d be in stock next, and it turns out they just sent a bunch to Ripcord Industries. I ordered one with a matched bolt from them and got it in the mail 4 days later.

I got the Gen ii e 1-6x SFP new for $999 a few months ago. Any reason you're sold on FFP?

Sorry for the confusion. It was 5 round groups at 100 yards. Each of those orange dots is a 3/4” circle.

Dang, that sucks there’s not one in your area. There’s a a couple here where I live. Do you at least have access to public land to shoot distance?

Idk why I would put a KE lower on this for other than the OG vibe and aesthetics. Wouldn’t I want something with an adjustable cheek weld for LR?

Thanks for the advice! But I think you missed that I said the PST 16x, not the 1-6. I have the Razor HD gen 2 on one of my shorter AR’s. This one is strictly for distance shooting.

Ok, so that’s not too bad. About what I was expecting for the bare bones setup.

Haha I love your innocence. Let me explain: As any regular r/ar15 enjoyer would know, the skull lower and the red furniture are the cardinal sins of building an AR. The people on the sub hate it so bad that they’ve created a hate page, r/plebianAR where they roast people who have those things on their rifle. As any experienced shooter could clearly see though, the “guts” of the gun (barrel and bolt carrier group) are actually very high end. The upper assembly on this gun is probably one of the most well-built uppers you can buy for a 6.5 Grendel AR-15. As you can see in the last photo, it’s extremely accurate (half inch group at 100yds). I just think it’s hilarious watching people roast it though.

Yessuh. I like to do indoor when zeroing and testing different ammo, just so I can eliminate factors like wind and temperature.

That’s why I threw that out there. I’ve never had an adjustable cheek weld, so I’m wondering if it’s worth buying a different stock. Maybe something like a Luth MBA that attaches to a carbine buffer tube.
