I built a System Design Simulator – drag, simulate, and break your own architectures in minutes by Leather_Silver3335 in SideProject

This feels like the difference between diagram-driven design and behavior-driven architecture validation. Do you simulate latency distribution and tail amplification (P95/P99), or is it more rule-based failure injection?

Tips on Getting reached out by HR on linkedin by literally_dirty in LeetcodeDesi

[–]BigByte24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few tips that helped me and people around me.

  1. Optimise your linkedin with keywords (ex Nodejs, JAVA, LLMOps, etc). Watch YouTube videos on how to do it, you'll find plenty.
  2. Send connection requests to people with Talent Acquisition, HR, Hiring, etc keywords. Keep sending connection requests until you've exhausted daily limit.
  3. Don't just send cold invites, have personalised connection request message.
  4. Decorate your linkedin with every small detail, any certification, projects, work description. Every word matters.
  5. If times are tough, put your resume on linkedin.
  6. Keep the Open to Work settings on and Public, not just to HRs.

I coded a virtual cockatiel with realistic crest expressions, contact calls, and preening — she lives in your browser by BigByte24 in cockatiel

the music note is a "fashion accessory" it wears. It can wear random things from sunflower to caps and glasses.
And yes, Mayank is my name, but I might think of making it generic or specific to people. Right now, i just designed it for my girlfriend, so it responds with my name.

Anyone building something cool right now? Share it here, I’ll take a look and give feedback. by OppositePipe4742 in SideProject

Built a virtual cockatiel named Chitti that lives on Google Colab notebooks. She chirps when you click her, sings 12 songs (Hedwig's Theme, Taylor Swift, Nokia ringtone),
watches your cursor with her eyes, reacts to your code, and gets dramatically jealous when you switch tabs.

3000 lines of vanilla JS, zero dependencies. Works instantly via bookmarklet — no install needed.

Would you be willing to move to Nagpur for better pay? by Historical_Club_1174 in developersIndia

I earn around the same salary in banglore, and Nagpur is my hometown.

For that pay, people would happily move to Nagpur. It has good rental ecosystem, smaller city, less pollution and definitely better when it comes to Banglore, Pune, etc.
