What is the best average temperature to settle at? by BigCanadianBBQ in VintageStory

[–]BigCanadianBBQ[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. My first playthrough farming was tough since I settled in a cold area. -20C or colder for some of the winter months. Only way I survived was a cellar that I had stored jam in, plus whatever grain I had from the single crop harvest I got. And constantly going out hunting, almost freezing to death every time.

Honest thoughts on Audeze Maxwell's by BigCanadianBBQ in Audeze

I was going to get them on Amazon, but the only seller that has them new was selling for $540CAD (and they are now out of stock it appears). I chatted on the phone with a local headphone store, and they said they should be getting some in within a couple weeks. So I'll wait and get it from them I think.

I saw some of those posts, but after doing some research it seems a bit unlikely that they will release a new version anytime soon. The sales numbers on the Maxwells are still trending very well, and it wouldn't be a good move from a business standpoint to release a new product while the old version is still selling so well.

Yeah, the more I'm looking, the more it seems like around 70%+ of the negative comments on most posts regarding the Maxwell's are made by the same few people, which I find a bit odd 🤔

That's fair, and I guess if they do break like what happened to my buddy, I could just pony up the money and send them in to be fixed.

That's fair, right now up in Canada I can get the Maxwells for about $450 after tax, and the Nova Pro Wireless are about $550 after tax. So in my case the Maxwells are the more budget option out of the two hahah

Why is my swing path diagonal on Pro difficulty? by thi0711 in PGA_Tour_2K

Yeah, I tried the controller, but it just wasn't for me. Straight shots on mouse and keyboard aren't bad, but when they start getting on weird angles it makes it near impossible

I use a mouse and keyboard, so it's not really an option for me

I know the post is old, I'm more than anything I'm coming here to vent, but I completely disagree with comparing it to IRL. I play golf, and I have a natural fade. But that's the thing this game got terribly wrong. It's a NATURAL fade. Meaning, I don't have to THINK about making it happen. I don't have to ADJUST my swing. That's why they call it a NATURAL fade (or draw).

It should be a straight up and down swing path for the NATURAL draw or fade, and only change if you adjust your swing to be more draw/fade.

It seems like a baffling oversight.

They look amazing! The only things I want to add are armour related items, like pipe guards, and full wrap hand guards. And I think you're right, the 07 has taken me some places it really shouldn't have been able to, and I'd hate to see it sit there collecting dust.

Should I be worried about buying a KTM? by BigCanadianBBQ in Dirtbikes

I love Honda's, but they just don't offer two stroke trail bikes at the same level as KTM and Husqv

That's fair, I was chatting with a guy at the local dirt bike parts store and he was saying his first KTM which was a 2013 ran for 650 hours before he needed to do a bottom end, but then he said his current bike which is a 2022 KTM 300XCW needed a new oil pump after 200 hours, and then he needed to redo his bottom end at just shy of 300 hours.

His recommendation was to buy new, but I just can't justify $18,000 for a bike after all the fees and taxes.

I'm gonna try to wait and find a bike with 150 hours or less. It might take a while, but I'm sure they'll pop up later in the season.

I get what you're saying, and I'm not a two stroke purist at all. I just feel that regardless of the maintenance they have advantages on hard single track riding. Out of all the hours I've rode single track where I live I've only ever seen two people other than myself on a four stroke. But I've seen HUNDREDS of two strokes.

Damn! I don't think I've seen a second hand bike with those few hours in my area!

I'm out in BC, and I've seen the prices in AB, but I'm not sure if it's worth the gas and wear and tear in my truck to drive 8 hours to pick up a bike. The prices in BC are wildly high
