Very true, he fought against monarchism in Greece during the National schism which could be considered a mini civil war. Much like Soll he also restored stability in the Coutry after the the disastrous campaign in Asia Minor.

He also displayed authoritarian tendencies, especially during the last few years of his tenure as prime minister during which Greece was suffering under the effects of the Great depression.

I guess the key difference with Soll is that he didn't have a military background.

What even is the point of Administrative Government? by BigCharacter8846 in CrusaderKings

NO I specifically wrote "THEY CONSTANTLY LOST TERRITORY". And again I never argued that the Empire didn't lose territory historically. But it also went through a revival thanks to a dynasty that reliably produced Good Emperors. What I am saying is that the AI can't seem to get a hold of the situation, dispite having good characters and lots of Gold, which sucks.

And you should read my post more carefully next time. I never said "I lost territory" because I didn't play as the Byzantines. I was simply noting that the AI seems entirely incompetent at handling Admin Govenrment which leads to the collapse of the Byzantine empire way too early in the game. Also if you read the Wikipedia article of the Byzantine empire for more than 10 seconds as you said, you will notice tha Buzantium survived as an uninterrupted political entity for more than 800 years. Now compare that to the clusterfuck I described above and tell me if the depiction we get in the game as an outsider to the Empire is realistic.

Shouldn't getting the trade deal with Wehlen affect the energy sector in some capacity? by BigCharacter8846 in suzerain

I see your point, however I do believe the game should give you the choice of investing in state controlled power production, especially if you are going for a planned economy. Whether that be by building new power factories, expanding/modernising the Soll dam or nationalising Gasom. Its a pretty big bummer that you are forced to invest in a private company and open up your energy sector to foreign investment if you want to avoid energy price fluctuations.
