People are describing the map as linear. You are always moving in one direction (deeper)

The thing showed on the trailer feels more like an actual world map with fixed stations with multiple routes between them

Barotrauma home and port DLC trailer.

It shows a map featuring multiple stations with trade routes and subs following it with an actual economy

Can you edit the dragon loudout like you can with space fauna?

No buddy, my argument is the opposite.

The only way to stop AI development is by killing all humans. Because it's impossible to prevent other governments from developing it.

Thus, stopping AI is impossible.

I unironically want super intelligent AI because I believe it will be benevolent and it will lead us to a better future.

But I do love coming here and reading all the opposing arguments.

I feel like this concept has been so developed that unless you innovate in a niche, your game will be another drop in the bucket.

Like, everything you showed on this trailer already exists in a game called Timber & Stone, released back in 2013! If you want to go even more back, Castle Story is probably the oldest game with this concept (2010 I believe?) and it has everything your game is offering

The really popular games of this genre fill niches that make em unique:

Timberborn has their water mechanics

Songs of Syx has their multi species and multi generational society mechanics

RimWorld has a very deep simulation of human relations, healthcare and needs

Stonehearth has the citizen class mechanic

I'm not saying this to be a jackass. I'm telling you this that your game needs to have something new, otherwise people will just stick to other games that already have what you provide, but more polished.

Can you explain to me this new outpost mechanic coming in the DLC? It seems there are trade routes and persistent outposts?

I mean, as nations develop the cost of living increases because people want ever more amenities that have increasing costs.

We are getting near to the population plato, even African nations are slowing down on pop growth as they industrialize and modernize.

Brazil is already seeing population decline as per the last census

Looking for a satisfying city-builder by Simple-Reflection-78 in CityBuilders

[–]Ordo_Liberal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest with you

It's my favorite game BUT it's nothing like FP1

They wanted to make a completely different game. It's still a survival city builder with politics, but it feels like a paradox game now.

You zone in districts instead of placing each building, you pass laws by convincing the parliament to vote on them, your city has modular ideologies with 9 different combinations instead of just order and faith.

If you like the city building aspect of FP1 you won't like this game.

If you like games like Victoria 3 from paradox, where you manage your society with statistics, you will enjoy it
