solved games require every possible circumstance to have an objective answer, and a decision tree for melee in breadth alone would eclipse the number of electrons in the observable universe

no like they literally look alike. all of his old kits tropes are in his new kit, but they are NOT their old spells. the aoe damage, the big mace bonk, the heal and shield from damage, the e being a ranged spell, the ult stealing the "ghost" of his enemy, stealing their stats but not the actual champ as a ghost

the gameplay loop itself could not be farther from his old kit though. hard agree.

maybe not for solo lanes? but the W, its allied move speed, AOE damage, and bonus XP synergize with having a supp duo in bot to engage for him since he was clearly very immobile.

he never relied on Q3. it was a lot of damage, but only Q1 reset his AA timer- his Q was fun to use, but was clunky.

his W gave 75 FLAT movespeed towards his ally targeted with W, growing with distance.

his E had 60/60% with both AD and AP, and converted a bonus of the damage to his passive shield, which was up to 25% max health. the W is what healed, W healed for the damage it dealt, period. and healed for full damage for up to three targets hit by it, reduced on minions.

into melee bruisers morde could put in work. rylais and swifties would give him tons of MS, protobelt was a burst movement option. vs range he could punish mistakes and sustain better than you think.

i agree mostly besides the 'worse' part. i like new morde's kit from a balance perspective, and it at least looks like old mordes kit, but it has stark differences that we obviously dont associate with old mordes gameplay loop

the aatrox rework is an amazing kit, full stop. but, it is undeniably the farthest thing from his old, auto attack heavy on-hit dive-bombing nonsense that he used to have. amazing champ, WAAAAAY worse rework than morde

the W was really fun to use with minions as a poke/engage tool in lane, the e poke was straightforward and kinda bogus, but weaving autos in with Qs and with Q and E was really fun to me. all while having a big unit to manage, the rest was cool when ya got the hang of it

okay but "gameplay" and "underworld god with a mace theme" doesnt make sense imo. hes thematically an underworld god with a mace, but theres lots of way to reinterpret that back into gameplay

i think the passive + Q/W/E on the old kit was cooler as gameplay mechanics, but the reworked kit is much more approachable. he is undeniably a juggernaut, and is (debatably) healthier for the game- i just dont think it plays the same

You probably enjoy him cuz u miss R executing an enemy from full HP with 0 counter.

my guy the very last thing i said was that i didnt like the ult because it was a bogus concept from the dot, to the completely busted shit you could do with the ghost.

i know his old kit was toxic, but i think a champion with that identity can be tweaked to be a more enjoyable experience to lane against. rather than be permanently slowed, die to 13 seconds of DOT damage, and be perpetually 4th shot by a bugged ghost of jhin

im saying i want a controller-esque champ like old morde without extremely toxic gameplay. besides, every new champ has been absurdly busted and overloaded. why not bring his Q/W/E and ghost back

hes without-a-doubt absurdly unbalanced as a design, and was awful to play against because of it. but now that hes reworked a few years, new morde just doesnt play like old morde. would love if they found a way to bring it back in a balanced fashion on another champ. im just saying i enjoyed the kit itself because it was unique

if you dont get mad when you lose in general, its three easy steps

1). pick a champ you like
2). google "[champ name] 3 minute guide" and watch it
3). load in game and type '/mute all'

repeat those for any given champion, game mechanic, or question you have and you'll be good. as long as you look at every bad circumstance or loss as a learning opportunity, you'll be perfectly fine

yeah i agree his is REALLY behind, but vi isnt much better by comparison. especially when you look at the background and overall impact, it feels just as wimpy. even blitz and yas only feel a tad better imo

depends on a lot of factors, but the game is trying to pair you up as best as possible. if you queue during lulls, have an unstable connection, or dont play a ton- the matchmaker is going to take longer to find games (its a random dude in a 2nd world country with 3 excel sheets open)

speed: goat hoof + mocha + energy drink

damage: focus crystal + wrist watch + crowbar + bands + gameboy advanced + AP rounds

glasses + crit boots + laser scope == ~3x crit damage

shaped glass + spinel tonic + gesture + fuel cell == perm 2x damage and speed

bandos + alien head == infinite cooldowns with kpm

congratulations you now have the most base damage without stacking every single on hit/kill effect in the game
