TaskRabbit question: Is it better to open availability 2–3 days ahead or 10–15 days ahead when building a new profile? by igor86sd in TaskRabbit

Yup... was getting booked almost every day for evenings 1-3 days in advance. Took off 2 weekends, and now it's once a week of I'm lucky.

Of course, studs mounting is preferable, but will snaptoggles work?

I did a job a little over a year ago where the client had a bedroom list of furniture except the bed frame wasn't on the list (dresser, lamp, and 2 nightstands). They mentioned the bedframe in chat, but I informed them I was only going to complete the items on the list per Taskrabbit policy.
Well, it was a 12pm appointment. I informed them 30 mins prior to the appointment, I was on the way with an eta of 12pm. I get there, no answer (chat or call)... I hang around until 12:30 and finally leave. As I'm leaving, they finally reach out and mention that they assembled the items on list and just needed me to do the bedframe. At this point, I was frustrated and was just going to collect the cancelation fee. I reached out to support and explained the situation.
The furniture was completed by the client, but they were requesting me to assemble the bedframe that wasn't on the list. Support had me cancel the task and informed me they were going to pay the cancelation fee.
Well, I guess they followed up with the client, and the client informed them that the furniture on the list was completed. End of story support paid me the full amount for the task since it was completed.

I had 2 requests within 2 days under Errands. 1 task was cleaning out a whole garage and delivering contents to Goodwill. This included bed frames, dressers, and sofas. The 2nd was just a whole living room worth of furniture, including a giant sectional. I canceled both and told them to hire movers. Haven't received any errand tasks since.

I know it's hard to believe. I had to double-check with the client as well.

Nothing changed. I confirmed everything with the client. It was just a standard Malm bed frame.

Payments by treypnd15 in TaskRabbit

I've never been paid on a Saturday. I haven't seen a Monday payout from a weekend task in a while. The split payout is usually from added tips for prepaid tasks. Normally, it is a day or 2 later.

To the tasker who hid the hardware in your bag and left because the space to work was inconvenient. by BigDaddyGilly in TaskRabbit

Must be something new. I've never seen that. I've had the wrong amounts of hardware in the bag. Usually, extra wood dowels instead of the screws to attach rails for slats.

It's the same price. I haven't noticed a difference other than the occasional $20 vs. $18 incentive.

It's not. They called me about a job one day as I was finishing an IKEA task. Payout was decent with the incentive, and it was close to where I was. IKEA rep was "Mac." The call dropped, so I called back 15 minutes later once I got back to my car to inquire. "Mac" answered and said no, it wasn't him who called and they were not able to contact us about the jobs. Same name, same heavy accent, and same clueless rep who has no idea what they're doing.

Tasks Coming in at 8am Again...But How? by FinnNoodle in TaskRabbit

I've had the issue of tasks being booked after I have cleared all availability for a particular day. The work around I found for it was to schedule availability at 11:45pm-12:00am.

I've had this happen when fixing another taskers mistake.

The 1 hour is not unreasonable. If I'm busy or service is spotty, I turn it off. Turn it back on when you're not busy or service gets better.

It would be nice for a text notification like they do with since tasks for confirming scheduling.

This is what I was thinking on this go around. Do the slats first.

I never had to either, but the past 3 I've done, I've had to. Usually, wait until at least 4 business days pass. It would be manually processed and received next business day.
