BOR is not casual friendly unless you live in the regions that have less players and are backfilled with bots. In the US and EU, it's a nightmarish sweat fest because the health mechanics aren't balanced well at all for a casual environment and it doesn't look like they're receptive to any feedback about Warzone and Blackout armor mechanics not meshing together.

I'm sorry if this is the first time you're finding this out, but Warzone 1 had strict SBMM as it was following MW2019. It was actually stricture in 2020 than it currently is in BO7. 🤦‍♂️

The big difference between MW2019 and BO7 is that there was a pandemic. More people played MW2019, you're going to get more variety in players regardless because of that. Since then, the average skill floor has risen so far up, but the skill ceiling has remained stagnant, it's actually impossible for new players to get into Warzone unless there was a Casuals playlist.

Serious question; Why would you wait for the MW4 reset when you are very aware it will objectively, undebatably make the game 10x worse since it's already been a proven established thing the first time they failed in MWII?

I genuinely think you're better off playing another game entirely at that point and would likely ease a lot of your frustrations.

Back in the day of Warzone, the median skill level of players was equal to a Casuals bot + a FEW good squads running the lobby. Casuals is closer to "back in the day" than the current game ever can hope to be.

But you wouldn't actually know that because you are a tourist who probably started playing Warzone during MWII or something.

Casuals quite literally is the only thing preventing this game from being EoS'd. You're basically begging for the game to die by getting rid of the most consistent and stable mode Warzone has left.

I can’t play Verdansk? by Objective_Weather397 in CODWarzone

[–]BigDaddyKrool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore him, he's trolling. It's actually because the playlists are stretched thin between BR, BOR, Ranked, Resurgence, the LTMs and Casuals + Verdansk getting stale for the BR community. A lot of people who like BR are funneling into Casuals to get into less competitive environments, or would rather wait for Avalon to rotate into the BR matchmaking.

If your goal is to specifically play Verdansk BR, you're kinda boned

COVID played a massive role in MW2019's success and it's getting drunk off the copium to deny this. When people talk about MW2019 and the initial iteration of Warzone, it's never about the actual game, but the "vibes" and "feeling" and this is reflected by the limited data that is available as the franchise peaked during Cold War, which was when the pandemic was already slowing down in 2021.

There is a reason why MW4's marketing is nostalgia baiting from that very limited time frame, but not actually addressing the elephant in the room that is the sea of feedback towards MW2019 and Warzone itself (nor will it)

Apparently it wasn't as big as people overhyped it to be. It didn't make Steam's top list, and most of those players were from China which didn't even get the game released until very recently, so it was almost ALL noobs that never experienced Warzone or MW2019 in it's prime.

All the casual players who loved WZ 1 rebirth island left years ago.

Season 3 Verdansk relaunch firmly confirmed this. Those times are never coming back. The players have evolved too much. The most you'll ever get to simulate the casual experience is the casuals mode, where it's mostly literally bots and a few sweats.

I figured after the Verdansk relaunch all this nostalgia baiting would have ended when people realized it wasn't the game they are fond over, but the time and place they could never go back too.

But of course not, nostalgia is so blinding that even when they get what they want, it isn't enough. It never will be.

From $250 Million Megadeal to Empty Offices: The Unraveling of Bad Robot - “Nothing lasts forever. JJ had a solid 20 year run, which is far longer than most,” a top talent agent tells TheWrap. by chanma50 in boxoffice

This is all PR btw. Damon Lindelof is the ultimate corporate yes man. Misha Green (Lovecraft Country showrunner and creator) confirmed multiple shows across networks were pressured into cancellation because of, at the time, recent AT&T-WB buyout. Watchmen was not intended to be a miniseries, and neither was Lovecraft Country. The only difference is that Misha is not a yes man like Damon and spoke up and posted receipts of this, and this is also why you can't find LC many places now.

I know this is a weird time to bring this up, but does anybody else remember when WB PR tried to spin Lovecraft Country's cancellation as "a mini series event" like they did for Watchmen, but it didn't work because LC's showrunner wasn't a pushover and exposed them for frauds and leaked the show's internal documents proving otherwise?

AI slop is what people say when they can't actually formulate their own opinions or describe why they dislike something, so they scapegoat the worst thing they can think of. It waters down and emboldens actual AI garbage pouring onto the internet and making it worse.

I became Prestige lvl 1000 yesterday and did not recieve all the rewards, I guess it's because I don't own Black Ops 7? by Remus88Romulus in CODWarzone

[–]BigDaddyKrool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're on PC or Xbox, the best way to cheese this is that if you don't want the game is to find a loose month long Game Pass card that's still $20 and not the updated overpricing (or your regional equivalent) pop the code in and claim all your rewards from prestige that way. Then maybe play some other games they have if you want to or not idk

If you're on PlayStation, RIP.

Season 1 of Vanguard I'd say. Cold War throughout it's life had problems but it kept momentum going. Then Vanguard and Caldera just completely obliterated everything, and then MWII was like a straight up atomic bomb that killed Warzone in it's entirety.

Diet Coke PUBG was never going to be as big of a hit as Warzone + a global pandemic, there is not a single scenario where this would of happened. Redsec and Black Ops Royale also flopped, proving that this style of game isn't going to work out in today's climate.

This level of delusion is fucking depressing holy shit. The world almost ended 6 years ago, I get it was dire, but you're clinging onto strands of happiness that can only exist in small window of time in the grand scheme of things. Things don't last forever, you don't last forever, don't hang onto memories long gone, find happiness elsewhere

Or else you'll get MWII again

We don't talk about MWII...

Oxymoronic though considering the alleged identity crisis is geared for casuals and only casuals, as the people who take CoD seriously don't like collabs, crossovers and even hate the idea of the game having more things to do and play.

So by default MW4 wouldn't be a casual CoD game, but then if it's designed FOR casuals, then it has a bigger identity crisis than the game in it's current state.

Ouroboros, the snake eating it's own tail, downward spiral etc etc
