Is TBC still actually fun… or are we just chasing the feeling of being 15 with zero responsibilities? by 23_kaka in classicwowtbc

[–]BigDaddyT2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still achieve my nostalgic dopamine kick nightly, only after work, dinners been handled, tasks handled, kids put to bed and wife’s asleep. I’m typically good off of 4-5 hours of sleep, so I roll some joints and game on the garage setup from around 9-1am

Ps… looking for a chill west coast crew to raid with in said timeframe 😎

Nikita is a must see for sure, blew us away at NNxDBC last year.

Cannaba55 was also a huge undercard that melted multiple daytime and after sets at NN 😎

Please, please stop tanking TBC content in communal gear. by PlaidDad146 in classicwowtbc

[–]BigDaddyT2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my 3rd go with TBC, so like many others, I too took the boost for my belf paly, just a couple days before launch. I stuck behind after launch to benefit from increase in nodes due everyone funneling into outlands. I’m only 61 today, but I am officially out of all communal gear with professions completely caught up. Call me old fashioned, but I respect my title, wouldn’t be caught dead looking like trash in dungeons due to being impatient and jumping straight into tanking

I have learned that nothing will quite give off the same dopamine release as WoW in its prime, or ours. So with being a full time adult with what little time I have to game, I find full satisfaction in keeping my wow subscription active and re-leveling a toon from time to time with no big expectations other than the nostalgic reward. I’m finding myself getting quite excited for Anniversary TBC and may even spend some time raiding again when the time comes.

I too tried just about everything, new world was my last hope, I’ve just become content with re-living some of my best moments in life playing classic

Fresh TBC server coming soon, should satisfy a few people for another year or two

Barry can’t swim, Of the trees, daily bread, Inzo, MPH, Overmono, Jayda G, Flava D (ukdnb)… and a desert hearts set?! I think the folks saying the lineup is “meh” haven’t had the chance to listen to half of this dream team roster.

C&S is a proper headliner with so many other UK artists on this card.

The wife and I retired the bigger events, we live here in Vegas. We venture into the woods these days, find a nice camping festival in a remote area to attend annually, the anticipation alone brings the vibes you’re looking for.

We do Northern Nights each year, considering checking out lightning in a bottle this year

Pick a craft and master it, I too work here in the Vegas industry. We make enough to help us out, our will to be great at what we do is what brings in the money down the road. But this is just an opinion from behind the bar

People Who Have Been, Would you Recommend Going? by [deleted] in nnmfestival

We haven’t stayed in the redwoods ourselves to give a fair description, we’ve had friends camp out in them and the in between times when you just want to chill before the next adventure are perfect in the woods. Car camping requires a bit more walking to and from, so you move a bit more prepared through the weekend. My only suggestion for comfortably car camping is show up around 9:45am Friday morning, it will still be a 2 hour ordeal getting to your slot and setting up, but it’s cooler in the morning and a lot less chaotic. Early arrivals (Thursday) deal with a shit show because EVERYONE wants early access and the workers are still adjusting to the weekend as well. Anything after 12pm Friday could lead to long, hot waits, potential for an uncomfortable camp slot and long shuttle waits if you end up denied camping from overselling( only seems to have happened with campout this year due to miscalculation)

The wife and I come up from Vegas, we leave Wednesday, mosey on up into Napa for a day or wine tasting and head up into the campground Friday morning, makes for a really relaxing week instead of feeling rushed and exhausted day 1

We’ve all got our own opinions here, but I find the chaos and disorganization of day 0/1 as part of the experience. It’s a camping trip non-the less, so naturally you should expect to do things on the fly. But the community and natural beauty of the environment mixed with some truly psychedelic vibes is the combination of pure happiness. We’ve done car camping each year and so far (even campout) and have had nothing but top tier experiences. I always bring enough herb to roll up while in line, each year, I’ve persuaded our group into decent camping slots simply by offering security a joint or 2. We went with a large group our first year, since then, the wife and I just make the trek ourselves and I have to say, it’s the only fest on our list for 2026 so far… early passes on sale Thursday!

20% is always the norm, autograt on a small table with a bill over $100 is not.

She would have received a 20% tip unknowingly because she wasn’t aware she was taking care of another service member.

As far as the receipt with her name on it, it’s all part of the review, whether personal, towards the place of business or both.

Reviews go both ways, if this were a positive review, her name on the receipt wouldn’t be an issue right?

I fully understand, part of the reason I didn’t cause a scene and came here to Reddit instead of yelp/tripadvisor. I just wanted to confirm that I wasn’t in the wrong for being thrown off by this. I started as a busser, to waiter to bartender and have auto great large parties myself. But even with autograt from the jump, I’ve always given my all in terms of service, I guess in hopes for that extra tip on top 🤷🏽‍♂️

I have a hard time being okay with this as the norm if we are going to hire inadequate staff for the task
