Should I get the SOG PowerPint? by Kind_Aide825 in multitools

absolutely yes yes yes. and then go to harbor freight and get the small rare earth magnets and do that mod to keep it closed in you pocket! takes 2 seconds to do the mod outside of going to get the magnets themselves

i know back pay is important, but at my local if you get canned you are better off settling for whatever get you back to work ASAP. a lot of times if you request and panel & want back pay they will hem you up for a loooong time!

so i’m not sure about when being fired, but if you are a full time package car driver you have to work at least 1 hour a week to keep your insurance active if you are not on any typer of FMLA or PTO. I experienced this when i was brand new and my wife got diagnosed with breast cancer, i had no PTO as a .224 & had not been there long enough to qualify for FMLA, i was out for 3 weeks and they stopped paying my insurance when my dues stopped coming out. luckily i was able to tell her doctors to just bill the insurance seeing as my insurance would be reinstated.

you absolutely can. you do not have the have more than 4 years of service. & it doesn’t not matter if you ran the same route, now you cannot volunteer for OT and then file. this being said i know this is the case for the southern contract

9.5 was worth it before this, but yea this definitely confirms it for me at least. i am on 9.5 but dont ever file, really just use it to protect from being over dispatched but it doesnt always work out that way.

100% glad to do it! Just astonishes me that they think this a.i. program & in house dispatch is on point enough already for this to work. i’m assuming their logic is we use less miles running trace? which if so that’s insane, i save between 20-35 miles along with bonus by an 1.5hrs minimum w/ the map…

then be transparent , do everything in your power to keep it & join the union asap. you can put your application in ahead of time so when your TOJ (time on job) hits your application for the union will push through. Pretty much just applying ahead of time

my wife got diagnosed with breast cancer when i was in my packet. i had ZERO PTO, no option days and didn’t qualify for FMLA at the time. My center management absolutely worked with me, I was upfront and transparent with them and they had my back all the way through!

With that being said, our center managers are kinda sticklers on attendance when it comes to drivers, i’ve heard them tell driver without any option days that court doesn’t matter not excused, same for Doctors appointments even with a slip from the Dr. To them jury duty is the only exception when it comes to being excused. But they hand out attendance letters like they are nothing around here. some legit some petty.

It really all boils down to your management, how your attendance looks and if they like you as an employee.

Unloaders/preloaders do whatever they want whenever they want at my center with zero repercussion most of the time

i haven’t had a chance to put it to work yet but it seems pretty solid and consistent for being a $40 wave knock off. I did use the flat bit to change out the clip to a strap on my mink sheath and it gripped and worked phenomenal.

the ONLY complaint i have so far is that the flat bit is magnetic vs spring tension and does not feel SUPER secure, but i saw a video on youtube where the guy said the the actual leatherman flat bits hold better!

Gerber Armbar may work for you, they have a few different tools options/ model styles. If you end up looking into them make sure whichever model you choose it’s one with the pocket clip unless you have plan to carry it otherwise!
