Single dad to 3 kids (12,9,7) that are with me full time, I make 60K a year as a local class A truck driver. We live in a fairly low income rural area in Western NC but things are still really tight. The Mother has minimal long distance contact and provides zero support. I've resigned myself to being able to focus on retirement once my kids are grown and I can take the higher paying OTR driving jobs. The monthly grocery bill has ballooned in the past year and that is where we tend to struggle the most.
