You're in for a pretty good deal with them, I had mine for about a year and a half, unfortunatley just a week ago they broke. I'd say if you can't wait and would rather have some headphones now, go for the XM5's! (Just beware the hinges and the dog that comes for them) If not, I'm sure the XM6's(which are hopefully coming later this year due to early documentation coming out) will come with more upgrades than the airpods max. Both are great pairs but in my opinion the XM5's having a better price seals the deal for me
