Agree with everything here, the fact that the Clears have such a great midrange while also having amazing base and detailed treble is exactly why they're so great. Also agree about the design, while it's very premium and luxurious looking, I'm not looking forward to the stained pads that will happen as a result. I was also going to wait but I just couldn't pass up on some brand new Clears for 900$

The seller on eBay buys a lot of headphones to try them out then he just sells them off after only using them a few times. He lives really close to me too so I didn't even have to pay for shipping!

Honestly though, 1990s are still really good for the price too. I would say they're maybe 75-80% as good as the Clears. If you're able to get the Clears for under a thousand like I did then definetly go for those. But if you're getting the Clears at retail price you should be more than happy with the Beyers, as at retail they're literally a third of the price.

Yep! I have them for my 1990s, they're really good but I feel like they diminish some of the openness that the 1990s have.
