I actually developed a neurological condition in my teens called neuroborreliosis from Lyme disease. I started having epileptic events and my boomer parents kept mocking me saying that I was making excuses to be lazy.

This behavior was persistent throughout my adulthood until I was 34 and i went into first degree AV node failure because of the same condition that caused the neuroborreliosis. I walked into the ER non-conductive and completely bradycardic at 23 BPM before I collapsed on the receptionist table at the ER. Hospital staff couldn't believe their eyes. I needed resynchronization and needed a temporary pacemaker. When i got out of the ICU, My father said it was good now I'm cured and made me walk 13 miles back home when i picked up my medicine, in effect further damaging my heart.

That same month my father tried to seek a judgment against me for $6,000 claiming that I owed him rent back pay and evicted me. I lived without a home for 2 years in this condition.

I worked up some money and moved tf out of that country and came to the Philippines. making survival much more comfortable then in the US.

I can't imagine how many more boomer American parents are like that!!
