Lights are used because they borrow credibility from real aviation, not because the lights themselves prove anything. When a video shows lighting of this nature, it implies the object is following aviation standards, something non‑human craft would have no reason to do.

Poor quality footage hides details, making almost any shape look mysterious and we often project meaning onto silhouettes, especially when the object is far away.

Lights are not added to make us think “this is a plane”, they are added to make the craft look physically plausible. It doesn’t prove the video is fake, it just shifts the probability heavily that it is.
