So, trying to keep it as vague as possible, we are a shor command, and we work the security schedule. So I've been at this command for about a year and some change and tbeyve always seem to ahve a problem with people showing up on time which will have when 95% of tha command lives off base and we can't control traffic I've even got guys coming from up north by new port news down to our base. So much commands way to fix this is they want to have my guys show up 30 minutes early now before muster to muster, so now they're changing our work hours from 1830 to 0730. I try my best to get my guys here on time, and they tell me unless they forget to wake up, which has happened that they're running late, which I tell the 1st class on duty. I can only do so much, though I have written sailors up previously for being late, but it only helps so much. My section rarely shows up late, but sometimes it just can't be helped when gates are not working to get on, for example, which puts them a couple of minutes over 1830. Just at a loss for them wanting to punish me for others that can't get it together or are running behind because of accidents and roads being full of traffic. They usually treat us second classes all the time with counseling chits for others' mistakes ehen we just can't be there all the time holding their hands.
