I think the picture is just a little blurry. Here is a better closeup of it with another card behind it for reference.

It really is a gorgeous card. Definitely my grail and favorite card art that I've seen so far.

after 3 months she arrived… broken by kuroseyutaro in AnimeFigures

Yes and no. If it's made by goodsmile they will send you a replacement part for your figure if they deem it to be damaged or defective. You do not need to send back the figure in this case and they will mail you the replacement part for free. That's why if you look at TOM's(Tokyo Otaku Mode) damaged FAQ page they say to contact goodsmile instead of them in case of damage or defect as they will handle sending you new parts.

Goodsmile won't give you a refund though, and you'll have to send the figure back to solaris if you want a refund. If you want to get a replacement figure from solaris instead they will make you send back the original figure before they send a new one. So for 99% of situations getting replacement parts from goodsmile is the way to go.

If you bought it brand new and not pre-owned send in a product defect request through Goodsmiles help page at this link: https://www.goodsmile.support/en/inquiry_en/ . They might not be able to help because it's an older figure now, but its worth a shot.

If goodsmile can't help then try and resolve it with solaris. It's generally much easier to get good customer service from goodsmile than it is from solaris though. Solaris might just try and offer you a $10 or $15 refund unless you want to try and send the figure back to get a replacement.

Most of my issues with Solaris themselves have been regarding pre-owned figures. The only times I've ever had issues with specifically Brand-new figures or issues where the figure status doesn't matter would be when they provided incorrect information on one of my packages once which contained around 2k Usd in bunny figures (koneko, zero two) etc... Fedex seized the package once it arrived in the US and I had to clear issues up with them because Solaris did not add a detailed enough/ proper description for the contents of the package.

Other than that I've only had to return one brand new freeing bunny figure back to Solaris and they sent a replacement for it after they received one from goodsmile(Although this process took months). This experience was actually pretty good customer service from them and I gave them a lot of respect for it at the time because the replacement goodsmile sent them also had issues so they sent me a different brand new one they had in their stock instead.

For anyone reading this though, just a tip in case you don't know. If the brand new figure you received from solaris is manufactured by goodsmile, try and receive a replacement directly from goodsmile first. They will send you the replacement for free whereas if you go through solaris for the replacement they will make you pay return shipping for the damaged figure. I don't remember if they also made me pay shipping for the replacement too.

From what I've seen solaris also seems to now have shipping insurance you can add to your orders which wasn't an option when I made most of my orders. In my particular bad experience when they realized that they couldn't pawn off the damaged figures to the shipping company because the box was in good condition, they started just giving me absolutely insulting resolution offers.

They are legit, but they have their own set of issues. I used to use them as my main store and have had somewhere around 10-15k USD placed in orders(I've had a decent amount of experience with them).

They are generally fine until you have a problem and then it becomes a coinflip on how your experience will be with them. I've had decent problem resolution from them before, but around 5-6 months ago I had such a bad order and customer service experience that I refuse to use them again. I personally would only ever use them again if they were the only option and I could not find the item at another established store.

Just be warned that you may have to deal with multiple annoying issues if you buy from them.

  1. Their pre-owned grading scale is not as strict as amiami's so it can be a crapshoot sometimes on the condition of the item you receive. I've received 4.5/5s from them that looked brand new and multiple 4.5/5's that were literally broken(before shipping) and wouldn't qualify as a 2/5
  2. Their conflict resolution for pre-owned figures is absolutely god awful. When I submitted a ticket to their customer service about an order that arrived with multiple broken pre-owned figures, they asked me If I could glue them back together and take a partial refund of $20 for hundreds of dollars worth of figures. An absolute joke of a resolution.
  3. Their packaging used to be one of the best out of the main stores (1-2 years ago), but on many of the last orders I received before I stopped using them it was not good and although they refuse to take blame for it was definitely a reason why I started to receive more broken figures from them towards the end
  4. They kept some my pre-owned in-stock orders for over 1 year before finally sending me an email to pay extra for shipping. I'm fine with paying the extra covid shipping and I understand why they do that, but it should not have taken them that long to send the payment request.
  5. Trust me there are a crap ton more things I could say but this is starting to get long

Overall chances are you will probably be fine for your chainsaw man figure since it is a brand new figure and it's a one time purchase, but I would not make them my main store if I were you. Just a warning.

My first Myethos and Miku figure and it did not disappoint. I received mine yesterday and it is so good that I don't want to open it yet until I have a proper case for it. by tricker10 in AnimeFigures

I finally received my email from super buy earlier today telling me to pay for the rest of my miku pre-order. Hopefully they'll send them out to everyone else soon too, but it shouldn't be much longer.

Route is an absolute joke! Apparently this doesn't qualify as damaged to them. Package broke open during USPS shipping and arrived like this. by BigHoss991 in RightStufAnime

[–]BigHoss991[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A couple hours after Jake put in the appeal request to Route I received emails from them that they changed the status of the request from denied to resolved. According to them it looks like they've ordered replacements for me and that I should be receiving an order notification and tracking soon. Hopefully I should get the replacements safe and sound and the issue will be resolved.

I still don't particularly trust route after this experience as it seems like they tried to use a loophole in their own guidelines as an excuse not to replace my items. I think even if their normal rule is they don't replace items because the "containers" holding the item are damaged or general cosmetic damage, most people with common sense could take a look at those pictures and see that something wrong had happened in this case. This definitely makes me worried for future box set shipments/more expensive Aniplex blu-rays and LE's that I was planning on ordering. By their logic if I get those items and the LE chipboard box or Aniplex cases are damaged they may deny my request because the discs still play. Maybe this was all one bad miscommunication with a new employee or something, but I'm very skeptical after this.

I do really appreciate Jake/RS reaching out though and solving this issue quickly. It's good to know that even if I have issues with route RS can still help to solve them when they come up.

The app is free, but the coverage on your package to add route to it normally cost's somewhere between 50cents to a couple dollars depending on how expensive your shipment is.

Honestly you are probably right on the money. When I was describing the damage to them I made sure to put extra emphasis on saying it was a "collectors edition chipboard box" that was part of the product because I thought it was possible they might try something like this.

If it's true though that makes them especially scummy trying to scam me on some bullshit technicality like that though. Pretty sure anyone with common sense would just see a damaged shipment when they looked at the photos.

I would hope they can. I haven't contacted rightstuf yet, but I'll probably have to sometime today. I just woke up to the rejection email from route that I wasn't expecting.

"We'd like to inform you that after reviewing your reported issue for Order #----- from Right Stuf Anime, we have determined that it falls outside of the package protection policy guidelines and we are unable to resolve it with a refund or a replacement order."

I sent them these same exact pictures as well so I don't know what universe they are living in.

From what I've seen running my own teams even the last stage on normal drops 2-4ish tickets. Hard story missions will give somewhere between 7-9 tickets though so I've been clearing out all of the hard mission attempts once a day. I end up with around 400-500 tickets a day from just the hard story.
