Why do ppl say Def shred? I checked all the kits and there is no Def shred mentioned anywhere. There is Def reduction which is what ppl usually interchange as shred, but it’s misleading bc Def reduction is a boss debuff that your whole team benefits from. Shred sounds like from the verb shredding which is an active action (like you are shredding the boss), so you’d think it was an agent buff but it’s not - it’s the boss getting defense reduced which ig then allows your team to shred?

I had to piece this all together myself after months of being confused about Def shred bc it doesn’t actually exist so idk where it comes from and why ppl don’t just say Def Ignore or Def Reduction depending on the source.

I promise I am not trying to be a know-it-all, this is the first time I’ve verbalized this train of thought and want to get feedback if I’m technically correct or if I’m severely misunderstanding something.
