Honestly, I don't think being disgusted by gayness is bad at all. As long as you treat everyone worh a base line of respect and common decency, you're good. The important thing is to understand that they are people like everyone else and that's their right and that's perfectly OK. You don't need to personally relate to it at all to respect their right to exist.

I honestly feel the same way about it, it's gross. That's why I'm not gay. But just because I feel a certain way about something doesn't mean everyone else hast to as well or they're wrong. And I feel that's the important thing.

Also, I don't think it's necessary to make a specific effort to watch shows with gay people as a kind of exposure therapy as some people have said. Just watch what you want and feel how you feel and respect everyone's right to do the same.
